Places to be and sights to see
Explore Mount Teide
Mount Teide is Spain’s highest peak and sits within a national park. There are some lovely walks around the base, but if little legs can’t manage it then hop on the cable car which will whisk you straight to the top. From here, you'll have views over the island and across the water to neighbouring Gran Canaria and La Gomera.
Meet the underwater marine life
Heading out on a whale and dolphin spotting trip is a good family-friendly option. The waters around Tenerife are patrolled year-round by pods of bottlenose and risso dolphins, as well as pilot and sperm whales, so there’s an extremely high chance you’ll get to see some action. If you would rather be in the water, there are a number of diving sites located on the north, south-east and west coast. The most popular centres are Radazul or Las Eras, located on the south-east coast, where you will find slopes, walls and spectacular chasms.

Siam Park is one of the biggest waterparks in Europe and boasts everything from white-knuckle freefall slides to miniature chutes and sprinklers for tots.
