Latchi is a serene fishing village, on the north-western coast of the island and has retained its historical character, with a number of tavernas lining the harbour and ribbons of shingle beaches fringing each side. Situated near the isolated and rugged Akamas Peninsula, you can visit the Baths of Aphrodite, where the goddess of love is said to have toyed with her young lovers before her marriage to Akamas. In the evening, you can enjoy a relaxing meal in one of the many restaurants around the village: sample the catch of the day in its local fish restaurants, some of which are housed in beautiful converted warehouses. Surrounded by spectacular, unspoilt hills and valleys, Latchi is the ideal setting for a peaceful holiday.
