Luxury Limassol Holidays
The south-coast city of Limassol has two very different sides to it. On the one hand, you've got the old town, where you'll find a labyrinth of little streets lined with craft shops and traditional tavernas, plus a medieval castle where Richard the Lionheart is said to have married his beloved Queen Berengaria. On the other, there's the modern part of town, packed with chic boutiques, gourmet restaurants and late-night cocktail bars. Running along the coast is a paved promenade, which cuts a path between course-sand beaches and a raft of luxury hotels. The city is also a great springboard for exploring the nearby wine villages of the Troodos Mountains - if you're visiting in September, you might catch Limassol's famous wine festival, which celebrates the grape harvest.
