Luxury Algarve Holidays
The Algarve stretches right along Portugal's southern edge, from the Spanish border in the east to the Atlantic Ocean in the west. Its best asset? The rugged coastline - it alternates between sweeping sandy bays and hideaway coves backed by honey-hued cliffs.
When it comes to picking a place to base yourself, you've got bigger towns spread out along the coast, and quiet hamlets and sleepy fishing villages dotted in between. Each one offers up something different, from Vilamoura and its chic marina and duo of beaches, to the village of Porches, famous for its handcrafted ceramics.
Things to do in the AlgarvePlay a round of golf
The Algarve is prime golfing territory, with more than 40 courses to pick from. Some go all out on the scenery, too, with sweeping views of the sea and mountains.
The Serra de Monchique mountains separate the Algarve from its neighbour, Alentejo. Head for the Monchique area and you can dip a toe in the spa waters at Caldas de Monchique, stroll around the cobbled streets of Monchique town, and tour the Moorish castle at Silves.
Sample the local cuisine
Tuck in to a bowlful of caldeirada (fish stew) or a plate of spicy piri-piri chicken, washed down with the Algarve's signature sparkling wine - vinho verde.

Then there's Blue & Green The Lake Spa Resort, which puts you in arm's reach of six world-class golf courses, and the clifftop Vila Vita Parc, which is cocooned in subtropical gardens.
