Corralejo - Fuerteventura Holidays - Spain

Once a sleepy fishing village, this is now Fuerteventura's largest resort and has become a charming port town with a famous and utterly fabulous white beach; featuring a spectacular 7km arc of dunes the area has become a national park. With plenty of places to shop, dine and drink, restaurants here specialise in mouth-watering seafood, while cafes, a bandstand and folklore performances add a flourish of local colour. The real attractions are the marvellous beaches, both here and 3km along the coast at Grandes Playa, and the island's windsurfing draws enthusiasts from the world over. For a little adventure, it is just a leisurely ferry ride to Lanzarote, with its lunar-like landscapes.
