Bougainvillea has a first-class location on the south coast, close to many of the islands attractions. Located on one end of picturesque Maxwell Beach, with over 350 metres of white sandy beachfront, and crystal clear turquoise waters. Not far from popular spots like St Lawrence Gap and Oistins, where you can find a real feel of Barbados. This beautiful resort puts you in a tropical environment that's perfect for relaxing, surrounded by lush greenery, waterfalls and rock pools and of course lots of stunning bougainvillea.
The ambiance is relaxed, so enjoys days unwinding by one of the three pools, sipping a refreshing cocktail at the swim-up bar and soaking up the sunshine. For the more active, there’s plenty of fantastic water sports to keep you entertained, or you could indulge in a rejuvenating massage at the Karma Spa and Salon.
This is a super family-friendly hotel – kids have their own club with activities including arts and crafts, storytelling and games, and there's also a games room with everything from air hockey to table tennis.
There is a variety of suite options to choose from. All are fresh with muted white and beige tones and splashes of brightly-coloured Caribbean artwork, and all have a welll-equipped full kitchen or kitchenette.
The Calabash Café is Bougainvillea's main restaurant. Its casual and stylishly simple and is directly behind the beach. Breakfast buffets are generous, offering a range of continental options, made to order omelettes and pancakes with all the toppings. Dishes on the dinner menu are inspired by Caribbean and international flavours.In the evenings the food is a mix of Caribbean and international fare, and portions are very generous.
There are three swimming pools to choose from. The lap pool is ideal for swimming, while the meandering waterfall pool is just perfect for kids! For adults seeking out a lazy afternoon with cocktails or soaking up the sun, there's no better spot than the third pool with a swim up pool bar.
For older children the games room has air hockey, pool, table tennis, foosball, mini basketball and a 57" flat screen so you don't miss any the big games. Video games and a current DVD library are also available.
Karma Fitness Centre is air-conditioned and well equipped with the latest cardiovascular and strength training machines, including free weights, stair climbers, weight machines, treadmills, elliptical cross training machines and exercise balls. Available between 6am-6pm daily for guests over 16 years of age.
Karma Spa and Salon uses the award winning skincare line, Elemis. The team of therapists offer a range of services from private and couples' massage treatments, renewing facials and scrubs, to manicures and pedicures. The salon offers a full hair care service featuring top of the line hair products
The exciting kids' club promotes fun activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, board games, dress up and beach games. The kids’ club is aimed at children who are 3 to 12 years old (although it only operates when a minimum of three children attend).
