Fairmont Mayakoba

Just got back from 5 delightful days at the Fairmont Mayakoba and was so impressed with the property and staff that I needed to leave a review and will definitely go back. The resort itself is beautiful and so well maintained. We had a Signature Casita Suite on the lagoon which was beyond amazing! Lot's of restaurants to choose from my favorites being Tauro and lunch on my chaise at the beach! Need to give a special "Shout Out" to our Concierge Daniel Gonzalez. He was beyond delightful and made us feel so special and pampered. No question or request went unanswered or fulfilled within minutes...truly, truly a gem! Can't wait to go back! Candice Timmerman

First time visit to an all inclusive resort. We reviewed a few in the area but ultimately choose the Fairmont due to the reviews and the recent remodel. We were definitely not disappointed. From the pickup at the airport to the drop-off sadly 5 days later, the service was exemplary. We were upgraded to a Signature Casitas room upon arrival which was on the canal and was much more private then our designated room. So if you get lucky enough to get upgraded to the 800s or 900s - say YES!!!. We tried Fuego, Tauro, La Laguna, Briasa and Gaia for meals and Hix, La Cantina and the roof top bar - Cielo for drinks. I mean if you have the all inclusive you might as well - if not, prices are high. Briasa was our fav for breakfast as it's ala carte and the views are amazing. For dinner, Tauro if you like steak or La Laguna for a more local flair. For drinks, La Cantina was our favorite as Dorian was very informative pouring different tequilas and mezcals as well as mixing well known cocktails with a Mexican bent. We went on back to back days because it was so much fun. For the view, you can't beat Cielo tho. The only call outs for the food in the many meals we had -were that the oysters didn't seem fresh at Gaia and the nigiri was just so so at Hix. Otherwise everything else was amazing. Everyone walks or bikes the first couple of days but after that the shuttles which come every 5 minutes are the way to go. All the service staff were very attentive and the rooms were made up in the am and pm for night time service. I've read other reviews complaining about the service but during our stay it was great. We got a deal on Travelzoo that couldn't be beat. Had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend the place.

Amazing resort! Room was spectacular and pools were lovely. Not fully walkable as beach is pretty far from some rooms - but free bikes and a well run golf cart schedule easily remedy that issue. The staff was super attentive and were always available. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.
