Les Suites at The Cliff Bay is a luxury offering of Suites with a separate reception area, dining facilities and public areas. However, guests staying at Les Suites can also benefit from the facilities at The Cliff Bay. This exclusive five-star hotel has a fantastic location near to Funchal on the island of Madeira. 

On the dining scene, there is something for everyone with Asian, Mediterranean, and Iberian inspired menus. Sit back and relax beside the pool with a cocktail in hand or head to the bar for an evening aperitif.  

There are 23 luxury suites that have been beautifully decorated to create a tranquil haven with luxurious Greek marble. These are set out across two century-old houses and set amongst lush, verdant gardens.

Avista Restaurant is located in one of the centuries-old houses and enjoys sensations views over Funchal Bay with an Asian and Mediterranean menu.

Il Gallo d’Oro

With two Michelin stars, Il Gallo d’Oro is located in Hotel Cliff Bay and offers an Iberian inspired menu with Mediterranean dishes.

Infinity Pool Bar

Enjoy refreshing drinks and light meals at the Infinity pool bar with fantastic sea views. 

The Blue Lagoon

At Hotel Cliff Bay, enjoy a barbecue and a la carte menu at The Blue Lagoon.

Enjoy a dip in the Atlantic Ocean from the beach nearby and the hotel’s pontoon. Access it from 8am - 7pm.

There is a refreshing outdoor saltwater swimming pool as well as a children’s pool in the play area. There is also a lovely infinity pool at Les Suites for you to enjoy.  Guests can enjoy the indoor pool at Hotel Cliff Bay and the saltwater pool at sea level, which is accessible via the Hotel Cliff Bay.

There are eight treatment rooms, a wellness area, indoor Jacuzzi, and a Turkish steam bath to leave you feeling refreshed.  

Fitness Centre

The onsite fitness centre has a Pilates room with weekly activities, as well as a gym, tennis court and table tennis. There is a modern fitness area and studios in the Les Suites. Guests of Les Suites also have access to the Cliff Bay Hotel’s fitness facilities, if preferred.

About the location

Les Suites at The Cliff Bay can be found on the island of Madeira. Bathed in history, the capital of Funchal dates back to the 15th century and is home to many fascinating museums. The centre of Funchal is less than 2km from the hotel so you can get there quite easily and start exploring. Madeira Airport is around 17km away and the transfer time is 20 minutes. The hotel is next to the seafront promenade and shopping area.
