The Quinta da Penha de França is a charming and intimate retreat, situated just 900 metres from the centre of Funchal. The original manor house Penha de França sits on a cliff and is surrounded by sub-tropical gardens. Traditionally built it retains many of its original features. The modern wing, Penha França Mar, offers direct access to the sea via a swimming platform. The two sections of the hotel are linked by a footbridge and lifts, and guests have access to all facilities.
