Sovereign Multi-centre Holidays

Deciding which type of holiday to take is always a dilema. Maybe you're dying for a beach break, but you need a dose of excitement - or you fancy the bright lights of a big city, but still want to come home refreshed. Luckily, we've got the answer. Multi-centre holidays (which combine two or more destinations in one trip) mean you can enjoy the best of both worlds. It's easier than you might think, too - often, you can stopover for a few days in the first destination before jetting off to the second, so it breaks up the journey.

Why book a Multi-centre

  • Totally flexible itineraries
  • A bespoke service from our Travel Experts
  • Easy private transfers and airport lounge access

Here's a few of our favourite multi-centre holidays to inspire you, but if none of these float your boat, just give us a call and tell us what you'd like to combine.

I always recommend visiting Dubai on the way back from the Maldives rather than the way out – it’s such a haven for shopping, and Emirates offers a generous baggage allowance of 30kg in economy (which you can split into as many bags as you want). This is especially important if you are taking a seaplane transfer in the Maldives, as they have a smaller baggage allowance so you won’t be able to bring much with you. Do your shopping on the way back! Lewis Parker, Travel Expert

Singapore and Bali multi-centre holidays

Pair a few days in a fast-paced city and a break by the beach with a multi-centre holiday to Singapore and Bali. For starters, the shopping in Singapore is world-class; Orchard Road gives Bond Street a run for its money with designer labels, and the culinary scene is excellent, too. Then, hop over to Bali to get your fill of beaches, Buddhist temples and laid-back living.

Bangkok and Phuket multi-centre holidays

These two sides of Thailand make for a unique multi-centre holiday. Begin with Bangkok, the energetic capital, where luxury hotels and mega-malls mix with hundred-year-old villages and markets. The nightlife scene is intense, the flavours of its food even more so. On the flip side, Phuket’s powdery white beaches provide some much-needed breathing space, stretched out beside thick green national parks and beautiful old villages.

Hong Kong and Bali multi-centre holidays

If you’re planning a holiday to the Far East, maximise your time by experiencing two distinct cultures in one trip. Hong Kong, a global financial capital and &lsquoPearl of the Orient&rsquo mixes a futuristic skyscrapers with traditional Chinese roots. By contrast, Bali’s green rice paddies and golden beaches are scattered with an estimated 10,000 pura; traditional temples that still hold Buddhist ceremonies and celebrations.

Dubai and Mauritius multi-centre holidays

Can’t decide whether to go for beaches or a big city? Combine the best of both. Mauritius is the ultimate paradise island getaway, complete with gorgeous swathes of palm-strewn sand, ultra-clear waters and fabulous waterfront hotels. Then there’s Dubai, where the nightlife’s big and the malls are even bigger. Spend a few days shopping, sightseeing or dancing – the perfect partner to a week by the beach. This one’s a fantastic option for families; kids love Dubai’s waterparks and fun restaurants, and the stopover handily breaks up the long flight to Mauritius.

St Lucia and Antigua multi-centre holidays

Take on two of the Caribbean’s big names all in one trip. In St Lucia, enjoy the island’s majestic waterfalls, hot springs and endless rainforests. Water babies will love the up-close-and-personal snorkelling and diving opportunities, while for those who prefer to stay dry, zip-lines play dot-to-dot in the treetops. It’s on to Antigua next, where the hardest decision you’ll be faced with is which beach to spend the day on. They come in all shapes and sizes here, from long stretches of sand to Robinson-Crusoe style coves.

Multi-centres in the same country

There’s no need to travel far between destinations for a multi-centre holiday – you could simply see more than one side to the same country. Places like Italy, Majorca and Croatia have diverse charms; hire a car to experience Majorca’s undiscovered coves and mountain landscapes, or explore the world-famous sights of Rome before retreating for a rest on the Neapolitan Riviera.
