Weddings in Rhodes - Ialysos, Rhodes Town and Lindos

Back to Sovereign weddings

Rhodes Town
Picture your marriage in one of the finest medieval cities in the world. Steeped in history and centuries of love, the old town is a labyrinth of cobbled streets. Hear your wedding bells ringing out through this historical scenery and over picturesque Mandraki Harbour.
The Wedding Ceremony takes place in the ceremony room of Rhodes Town Hall. The Bride is collected from her hotel approximately 15-30 minutes before the ceremony starts and driven to the church. The Groom and guests organise transport through the Wedding Planner and arrive at the ceremony before the bride. After the ceremony, guests are taken to the harbour front (Mandraki) where they can have photos taken against the backdrop of the harbour and fountain.

Filerimos Monastery, Ialysos
Bring your dream wedding to life in Rhodes’ most charming surroundings. In ancient Ialysos stands the Filerimos Monastery, crowning the hilltop and unveiling superb views of the city below; declare your love in this unique location and cherish the memories forever. Spend the first days of your marriage in traditional Greek tavernas and take romantic sunset strolls along the cobbled streets.
The Wedding Ceremony takes place in the courtyard of the old monastery, a beautiful location full of flowers and archways. The Bride is picked up from her hotel approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony starts and driven to the venue. The Groom and guests would organise transport through the Wedding Planner and arrive at the ceremony before the Bride. The guests, and then the Bride, make their way up to the courtyard via a sweeping staircase, providing an excellent opportunity for photographs. After the ceremony there is time for photographs to be taken in the beautiful grounds.

Lindos
Add a taste of ancient Greece to your wedding photos in the beautiful, cultural village of Lindos, with its picture postcard scenery, whitewashed houses and the historic Lindos Acropolis. With the stunning golden sands of St Paul’s Bay nearby, this is a beautiful backdrop for the most memorable day of your life.
The Wedding Ceremony takes place in front of the small church in St Pauls Bay with the Bay as the backdrop. The Bride is picked up from her hotel approximately 15 – 30 minutes before the ceremony starts and driven to the church. The Groom and guests would organise transport through the Wedding Planner and arrive at the ceremony before the Bride (who can be accompanied by Greek Musicians for an additional fee). The guests take a short walk down to the picturesque ceremony area of the Church, an ideal place to take photographs.
