I have been involved in travel all my working life. I started my career in a high street travel agency and have now been working for Sovereign for four years. I love visiting new destinations and experiencing different cultures. In fact, you will find it hard to name a destination that I haven't been to. I enjoy holidays to Greece with my family and it has become a firm favourite because Sovereign's family properties cater for all our needs, not to mention the beautiful islands that have so much for us all to enjoy. I have recently visited the Westin and Romanos resorts in the Peloponnese region of Greece. These properties offer so much for all ages and is one I must recommend for the whole family.

Most memorable travel experience
When I first saw the views over the Caldera in Santorini. They were honestly breath-taking, you won't be able to stop taking photos. My advice, make sure you put the camera down for a bit and really take in the views through your own eyes. You will probably hear a lot of people say the sunsets from the resort of Oia are the best, however they are just as spectacular from Imerovili and the Santorini Grace.
Most unusual travel moment
My most unusual, and another one of my most memorable travel moments, was when I got to experience Sinai at Starlight in Egypt. After a camel ride into the desert, the sun set and we laid back and watched the stars emerge. It was truly magical.
Favourite hidden gem
My favourite hidden gem is the village of Plaka in Crete. From the top of the hill you can enjoy wonderful views over the Mediterranean Sea. There is a square in the village with lovely little gift shops dotted around. I like bringing back souvenirs from each of my travels and in Plaka you will find a charming shop where everything they sell is blue.
The best meal I have had was at the Varkarola Restaurant at the Amathus Elite Suites, Rhodes. We were introduced to lots of different dishes including a variety of seafood and fresh Greek salads.
Top travel tip
Make sure you take in and experience everything that's around you, particularly the local culture. There is a lot to see and do away from the main tourist attractions, hotels and beaches. Many of our destinations allow you to hire a car or provide bus routes to easily get around. The Greek islands such as Corfu, Rhodes and Crete are great example of places with plenty to do and explore.
Favourite Sovereign hotel
Blue Palace, Crete. This is a very romantic and stylish hotel and it offers the most amazing views of Elounda bay and Spinalonga Island. The hotel is within walking distance of Elounda's highlights such as the charming harbour in which the town is situated around.
