There is nothing I wanted to do more than work in the travel industry. After studying Travel and Tourism at college, I went on to enjoy different roles within the travel industry, including working overseas as a holiday representative.

Most memorable travel experience
Being served a luxury in-flight meal, served on tray tables laid with fine linen and best of all - accompanied with a quality champagne. Business class with Emirates is how I will be travelling from now on!
Favourite hidden gem
A highlight of my trip to Fuerteventura was a trip to Los Lobos Island, located off the coast of Corralejo. It is a barren island with deserted beaches which make you feel like you're a castaway, so best to not miss the boat back! I recommend arranging the trip with your concierge so you can be sure to get booked into the island's only restaurant.
Last November the Dubai edition of Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street kitchen opened up at the Atlantis The Palm hotel. This restaurant is an exciting and unique experience with a great atmosphere you will really enjoy. I recommend the Rib eye steak - it's superbly cooked.
Top travel tip
A great way to explore Lake Garda is by ferry. This is the most cost effective transport option and is the the most scenic and relaxing way to get around. You can either quickly hop across the lake on the hydrofoil ferry or enjoy the peace and quiet whilst taking in the magnificent scenery on-board the slower leisure boat.
Favourite Sovereign hotel
Out of all of our hotels, my favourite has to be the Waldorf Astoria in Dubai. I like the fact that it is smaller than most other hotels here and it puts great effort into providing personal touches, or what they hotel call 'Waldorf touches'. There is a lot to do in this hotel but should you find yourself at a loose end, roll the 'Inspiration dice' and let this 'Waldorf touch' decide for you.
