This eight-night itinerary takes you to three of Greece’s chicest islands: Mykonos, Santorini and Crete. Mykonos and Santorini are all about whitewashed houses and spectacular sunsets, while Crete brings sandy beaches and a dose of ancient history.
After touching down in Mykonos, a private transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel.
For your first evening, head down to the Little Venice area of Mykonos Town. With its creaking windmills, waterfront houses and sunset views, it’s one of the most photogenic places on the island.
On day two, you could spend a few hours ambling along the winding, boutique-lined lanes of Mykonos Town (getting lost is almost guaranteed!), or head to one of the sandy beaches that decorate the coastline.
Alternatively, stay poolside and soak up the Aegean sunshine.
Today, you’ll be moving on to your next island: Santorini.
A private transfer will take you to the ferry port for your crossing, which tends to take around two and a half hours.
On arrival in Santorini, your private transfer will take you to your hotel. Keep your camera to hand – the views on the way up the cliff are definitely Instagram-worthy.
Whatever you choose to do today – laze by the pool, go for lunch in Fira, hike the cliff path – you won’t be able to escape those spectacular views.
Sugar-cube houses, blue-domed churches and dramatic cliffs sweeping down to the flooded caldera make Santorini one of the world’s most photographed islands.
For the classic Santorini experience, watch as the sun sets into the Aegean from the village of Oia, where the cliff-clinging houses provide the perfect foreground to a peach-toned sunset.
A private transfer will take you back down to the ferry port today, where you’ll catch the service over to Crete. The crossing usually takes around two hours.
Back on terra firma, another private transfer will be waiting to whisk you to your final hotel for the trip.
Toast your first night in Crete with a glass of island wine – hillside wineries produce superb whites.
With three full days in Crete, you can be as lively or as laid-back as you like.
For a bit of history, you could explore Spinalonga Island, tour the Minoan Palace of Knossos or stroll around the old towns of Chania or Rethymnon.
If you’re after a something a bit more active, there are mountain walks and hiking routes through spectacular gorges.
On day nine, your private transfer will take you from the hotel to the airport for your flight home.
