The Calabash has a longstanding reputation as a foodie’s paradise. Your day starts with a sumptuous breakfast served either on your private terrace or with your feet in the sand at the beach. Tapas and salads, deliciously prepared cocktails and homemade lemonades will tempt you from the Beach club at lunchtime, and as the afternoon cools down, head to the main bar where you can indulge in the complimentary Afternoon Tea! Dinner at the renowned Rhodes Restaurant is a special fine dining occasion.
Rooms are set in a horseshoe of low-rise buildings overlooking neat, palm-dotted lawns. Every suite is appointed with modern luxuries, and benefits from unparalleled views over the meticulous gardens towards the Caribbean Sea.
Complimentary non-motorised water sports are available on the beach, and there is a 24 hours fitness room and unlimited access to two tennis courts. The hotel also have a great range of excursions and suggestions for day trip itineraries should you wish to venture from the hotel and explore the island.
There are two restaurants at Calabash;
Breakfast is available at The Beach Club, or alternatively, you may decide to enjoy it in the privacy of your suites terrace or balcony.
There is a great choice of activities available, from yoga and lawn games to sunset cruises, rum tasting and sailing lessons. Enjoy complimentary non-motorised water sports, including windsurfing, sunfish sailing, kayaking and snorkelling. Activities at an additional charge include off site golf, scuba diving, spa treatments, parasailing, and deep-sea fishing, island excursions including rainforest walks and St George’s market, whale watching and south coast sailing.
There is a stunning spa available, a 24 hour gym and two tennis courts – private lessons can be arranged.
Calabash Hotel is located on the south coast of Grenada -just 10 minutes from the airport, and bustling Grand Anse is a short five minute drive away,
The hotel is on the wide and peaceful Lance Aux Epines Beach in Prickly Bay where the horizon is dotted with yachts. The water is usually calm here, so a wonderful spot to try kayaking or paddle boarding
