About the location

Famed for its exotic ambiance, eclectic style and unique architecture, Marrakech is a fascinating destination which attracts visitors from across the globe. Framed by the snow capped High Atlas Mountains, at the heart of the city is the central medina which is steeped in ancient history, combining Arabic and African culture.

Marrakech offers a feast for all the senses. Bustling market stalls line the walkways, while elaborate archways open up into tranquil courtyards. The city is alive with vivid colour and tourists will fall in love with the vibrance of this city. Walls are awash with rose pink, spices create golden hues, deep red textiles add richness and shades of blue bring a pop of colour to doors. Aromas from food stalls waft throughout the streets, offering authentic flavours including tagine and fresh seafood. Sandwiched between the historic mosques and beautiful mansions, you’ll find quaint shops and boutiques (or souks), selling a range of authentic wares from hand beaded slippers to fragrant spices. And it’s not uncommon to stumble across entertainers including jugglers, snake charmers and belly dancers, adding to the exotic buzz of the city.
