Pine Cliffs Residence offers family-friendly luxury in the Algarve’s Praia da Falesia, one of Portugal’s most charming beach towns. There’s direct beach access with a lift down to Falesia, the longest beach in Portugal, which is bordered by pine trees and red-hued, jagged cliffs.

Guests have full use of the extensive facilities at Pine Cliffs Resort, such as the sports academies, world-class Serenity Spa, six outdoor pools and 10 restaurants and bars. Family-friendly features include the Porto Pirata kids’ village with outdoor pool and playground, as well as 154 chic two and three-bedroom, self-catering apartments.

Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort boasts a number of awards, including Europe’s Leading Family Resort in the World Travel Awards. Sports enthusiasts will love the nine-hole golf course and Annabel Croft Tennis Academy. The resort is ideally located for day trips to the lively waterfront hubs of Olhos de Agua and Vilamoura, which lie just 30 minutes away.

Hotel child prices apply to ages 4-12 years. The hotel has 154 Residences.

Access to the beach is via a lift which leads onto a long wooden walkway which has groups of 2/3 steps at various intervals, totalling 70. Therefore the hotel may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Golf offer

Guests receive for every 7 nights stay one free green fee for 18 (2 x 9) holes at Pine Cliffs per person (subject to availability and clients are requested to book in advance) for holidays between 01 November 2017 - 02 November 2018 (minimum of 7 nights).


Bars & Restaurants

Jardim Colonial

Enjoy breakfast and dinner at Jardim Colonial, which serves à la carte Portuguese and international food. There are also themed dinner buffets and children’s menus. 

Open: 07:00 – 10:30 and 18.30 – 22.30

Meals at Jardim Colonial are available for full and half board guests. 

Beach Club Pine Cliffs By Olivier

Located on Praia da Falesia, the Beach Club has ocean views and offers drinks and light snacks throughout the day, including salads and ice creams. During the summer months, the Beach Club is also open on selected nights when there’s live entertainment.

Full and half board guests get $30 credit per adult for meals at the Beach Club, or $20 for a full board lunch. 

Corda Cafe

Dine by the pool at the chic Corda Café on an all-day menu of snacks, drinks and refreshments. 

Open: 10:00 – 22:30 

Guests staying half or full board get $30 credit per adult for meals, or $20 for a full board lunch. 

Mirador Champagne Bar

Sip on a cool drink as you watch the sunset over the ocean from the cliff-top Mirador Champagne Bar. Choose from a selection of international wines, cocktails and spirits.

O Grill

Head to the O Grill for Mediterranean food and grilled dishes in a relaxed poolside setting with views of the Pine Cliffs golf course. There’s also indoor seating and the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  

Open: 07:00 – 10:30, 12:00 – 16:00 and 18:30 – 22:30 February to mid-October

Depending on the season, half and full board guests can enjoy the buffet dinner here, instead of at the Jardim Colonial. Full board guests will receive $20 credit for lunch at the O Grill. 

O Pescador

O Pescador is the perfect choice for à la carte Portuguese dishes and seafood specialities. The restaurant caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has indoor and outdoor seating options. Dine outside for views of the ocean. 

Open: 07:00 – 10:30, 12:00 – 16:30 and 19:30 – 23:00 from mid-May to October

Guests on half and full board get $30 credit for dining, or $20 for a full board lunch per adult. For dinner, children under 12 are not permitted. 

Pine Cliffs Club House

The Club House lies next to the golf course and is ideal for a pre-or-post-golf meal. Dine on light meals such as sandwiches with views of the first tee. 

Open: 10:00 – 20:00 from February to December 

Guests on half and full board get $30 credit for dining, or $20 for a full board lunch per adult.

Piri Piri Steak House

Dine on top-quality grilled meats from around the world at the steak house. There’s also a variety of fish, tapas and desserts to choose from. 

Open: 18:00 – 22:30 between Easter and October

Full and half board guests get $30 credit per adult for meals, or $20 for a full board lunch. 

Portulano Lobby Bar

The Lobby Bar has a relaxed atmosphere with live music, as well as a full range of drinks including an extensive cocktail and wine list.

Yakuza By Olivier

Yakuza offers an innovative menu featuring traditional Japanese dishes with a Mediterranean twist. The swanky venue has an outdoor setting and often features guest DJs and is open for drinks until the early hours of the morning.

Beach & Pools

Swimming Pools

There are six outdoor pools, dotted around the resort, surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. There’s an additional kids’ pool at the Porto Pirata club, as well as a heated indoor pool at the Go Active Health Club. 


There’s a lift down to Praia da Falesia, the longest beach in Portugal, with a wooden walkway along the fine sand. The beach has been awarded Golden Flag status by the European Union and has a programme of water sports, as well as food and drink available at the Beach Club. 


Porto Pirata Children's Club and Creche

There’s a varied programme of entertainment at the children’s village, which has a playground with life-sized pirate ships, bouncing castle, basketball court, pool, mini-golf and track for big-wheel toys. The club and crêche is run by qualified, English-speaking staff. Activities include arts and crafts, water games and theme days and are tailored to different age groups.

Junior Club

Kids can enjoy a programme of three to five activities per day. These include sports, team and beach games, archery, football tournaments and arts and crafts. Staff are English-speaking and fully qualified.

Open: 11.00 – 19.00 daily from April to October and during festive periods

Spa & Wellness

Serenity Spa

Offers relaxing treatments and features a Thermal Oasis, which includes a hydrotherapy pool, herbal and Himalayan salt saunas, steam room and ice fountain. After a treatment, relax with an experience shower and outdoor Jacuzzi. 

Guests under 18 are not permitted in the Thermal Oasis. 

Go Active Health Club

The health and fitness centre boasts the latest Technogym equipment, an indoor pool and offers specialist classes such as water aerobics and personal trainers. There’s also a sauna and Jacuzzi. 

Guests must be over 16 to use the fitness centre.

For tennis fans, there are five floodlit courts and the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy. Guests can also make use of the golf academy and nine-hole Pine Cliffs golf course, which is set over 168 acres. Down at the beach, take part in a variety of water sports such as kayaking and water skiing. 

About the location
Praia de Falesia is a peaceful little resort known locally as 'the beach town'. It's not hard to see why - its beach is one of the biggest in Portugal, with several kilometres of golden sand sloping out from terracotta cliffs. Popular with locals and visitors from nearby towns, this pretty-as-a-picture beach is flanked by pine trees and the cliffs (the falesia in its name), which make for a scenic backdrop as well as acting as a natural windbreak. The town itself is laid-back with a traditional feel, offering up a handful of hotels and plenty of restaurants, plus two golf courses on its outskirts. Praia da Falesia's proximity to other resorts is a big plus; less than 30 minutes by car are the bustling waterfront towns of Olhos d'Agua and Vilamoura, a heavyweight destination in the Algarve.
