Seychelles, Praslin
No one does exotic glamour quite like the Seychelles. Hotel L’Archipel is one of the few 4-star resorts in the archipelago, making it an ideal choice for all budgets. The hotel does not want for anything; it’s a tropical garden paradise overlooking the private beach of Anse Gouvernement with spacious, contemporary rooms and superb amenities. An outdoor pool with a sundeck and plentiful loungers means topping up the tan is easily done, while two delicious restaurants plus a poolside bar mean you never need to leave the resort. What’s more, Hotel L’Archipel is known for having some of the best cuisine on the island, so guests here can expect a literal taste of Seychellois life.
Hotel L’Archipel sits at the end of the famous Cote d'Or Bay, where tranquil relaxation comes with a capital R. If you feel like exploring beyond the beach, the tiny island is home to 4,000 coco de mer palms that are endemic to the Seychelles. Earn your evening sundowner as you explore the verdant forest looking for this mysterious plant, lulled by the shimmering sound of raindrops. If you prefer your activities on the waves of the Indian Ocean, then why not try your luck at a bit of Big Game fishing? The hotel organises fishing trips where lucky guests can take their catch back to be cooked for their evening meal.
Hotel L’Archipel is set on the south of the Praslin Island, the second biggest island in the Seychelles archipelago. The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring, and some of Praslin’s biggest attractions - including its beautiful and exotic beaches - are within easy reach. Simply ask at the reception and you’ll be directed to the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve, the Cocos de Mer Nature Reserve, the Praslin Museum or the best way to get to Curieuse Island, just across the bay. Heart meltingly beautiful views are assured.
Hotel Child Policy: to ensure the comfort and safety of its esteemed clientele, the Hotel does not accept bookings for infants aged 0-2 years (inclusive). Bookings with infants (0-2 yrs) are strictly on request basis and subject to approval of hotel management.
Two restaurants serve international and Creole cuisine, made with mouth-watering and locally sourced ingredients. Weekly themed nights include barbecues and seafood cooking on the beach, while live evening entertainment in the cocktail lounge adds ambience to your pre or post-dinner drinks.
La Gigolette is set on the terrace right on the beach so that guests can enjoy the soft breeze and the stunning ocean view while savouring delicious International or Creole dishes.
Breakfast is served buffet style al fresco, whilst lunch is served à la carte. Dinners are served as either table d’hôte or buffet. Three times per week live music will accompany dinner. Guests who choose to stay on bed and breakfast basis can choose to dine à la carte for dinner.
Offering a breath-taking panorama view for guests to enjoy whilst dining. La Feuille d’Or is located on the first floor by the bar.
Free snorkelling, paddleboards, and canoes make exploring the warm waters of the Indian Ocean easy. The hotel’s beachfront location in front of Anse Gouvernement beach means fun in the Seychelles sun is only a stone’s throw away, while the lovely outdoor pool with sundeck and a generous offering of padded loungers make for an iconic Seychellois experience.
While there is no spa or fitness centre per se, Hotel L’Archipel offers a wide range of in-suite massages as well as hair and make-up styling and manicures and pedicures.
Praslin’s manageable size means you’re never more than an hour's drive from anywhere else on the island. The little island lies about 45km northeast of Mahé, and is the ideal choice for those who like to discover their holiday on nature’s terms. It’s packed full of wildlife, so we really do recommend making the trip inland for a cornucopia of birds and animals. Or why not jump on a boat to nearby Curieuse Island? Here you’ll visit the baby giant tortoise pens, take a boardwalk through preserved mango forest and read about projects to protect lemon sharks, among other marine life. And don’t forget to get under the waves; excellent snorkelling is to be had off St Pierre islet.
