Amazing stay with family and friends. Grounds were impressive and room comfort with what you expect from St Regis. Pool bar service was lacking (up to half an hour to get a drink delivered) , and improvements to the spa service could help. The location and proximity to nearby shops, restaurants and bars is only a 10 minute walk, and provides more options and flexibility.

My husband and I chose to stay here for our honeymoon in Mallorca. We had a rental car so the location was fine for us as it is not in Palma but only about 15 mins drive so you can escape the busy city.
First the good stuff: the food we had at the morning breakfast was great and coffee was delicious. The room was very comfortable and nice and big. The in-room dining was super fast, like 15-20 mins, and the staff was always very friendly when they delivered it. The pool was beautiful but there can be a lot of kids at times so they have another pool in the spa area that is adults only that we opted for when it got too noisy.
Now the not so good: We had high expectations for the luxury hotel and are ok with minor hiccups when we travel as we know everyone is human and mistakes happen but there were a couple problems we had that were more than hiccups that just put a damper on our stay. The first was our check-in experience. First their entrance area is tiny and fits maybe 3 cars and you cannot go around any of them so when we arrived we had to try and park the car to the side awkwardly. The bellhop was visibly flustered and said hello but to wait a few minutes that he was backed up. We offered to take our luggage out of the car ourselves that it wasn't a problem and he firmly said no, he would take care of it because our check-in will take a while and it won't be a problem. We just said ok but it was just not a friendly arrival experience. Our check-in did not take too long, maybe 10 mins, and after we enjoyed our welcome drink on the patio we went back inside as directed by the guest service woman and looked for her as she had our room ready. Another woman came up to us and asked us if we were checking in and we told her we already had. Then she didn't even ask our names or look us up she just said that rooms weren't available right now and we would have to wait. We spotted the girl who had helped us and told this woman that her colleague had our information and told us to return when ready. She then went to go verify this information with her colleague, no apology or smile or anything, then when it was verified she walked back to us, handed me a rose with no explanation and said her colleague would be right with us. So weird and again, awkward! Definitely not the check-in experience at a 5-star resort.
The next thing that happened was they never booked our spa treatments despite the fact that I received a confirmation email. We had set aside 1 day to do treatments and relax at the hotel otherwise we would have gone out to another part of the island. So when I went to check in early as I wanted to use the spa facilities, that is when they told me they had no record of it. I'm so happy I had the email because they just kept asking to see it and it all just seemed very confusing. At the end we ended up speaking to the manager on duty who helped the staff find times to do our treatments as this was the only day we had available which was great but just took away our relaxation mode. We were waiting around for our locker key and just thought maybe they were busy, but then they told us we could go get ready and we told them we don't have a locker for our things. Just an overall communication mishap all around. Also they forgot to tell us you need your room key to get to the locker room so my husband got locked out once and had to be let back in. Even though they did not mention that they would comp us for the treatments, when we checked out we did not have it on our bill so that was a positive move on their part and much appreciated.
While this hotel was good, it was not great and with so many other boutique hotels on the island we would definitely stay somewhere else.
