About the location

Coconut Island, or “Koh Maphrao” as it is known in Thai, is located just minutes from the east coast of mainland Phuket. The tiny island was initially discovered by shipwrecked explorers hundreds of years ago, and thus a sense of swashbuckling adventure permeates throughout. Coconut Island has always retained its sense of mystery and exclusivity, and the beautiful hotel and resort reflect this perfectly.

The little island is covered in mangrove forest, and homes much flora and fauna including the beautiful long-tailed macaque. A road runs through the forest going from west to east, helping both locals and visitors to find their way around. Coconut Island's main sources of revenue (other than tourism) are farming and fishing, making this island a perfect choice for those who like to keep the pace slow and authentic.

If the seductive charms of Phuket do beckon, then don’t hesitate to jump in one of the hotel's fleet of longtail boats - you’ll be in the town in around 15 minutes! Phuket is of course world-famous for its dazzling beaches, fabulous food, underwater wonders and cultural heritage. The town has a thriving, not-to-be-missed restaurant, bar and nightlife scene, making it well worth a visit at least once in your stay.

Transfer time

The property is a 20 minute drive to Laem Hin Pier from Phuket Airport, followed by a short boat transfer into resort.

Ocean Zone - Private Pool Villas

The Ocean zone features one to four-bedroom villas each with a generously sized private swimming pool, glorious ocean views and spacious outdoor living spaces for dining and lounging. Villas with four bedrooms have direct beach access. Guests can enjoy on-call villa host, private chef services and curated experiences, such as breakfast-in-bed, al fresco meals and sunset cocktail hour arranged in your private space.

There is a fun pool table in each villa with two or more bedrooms in a space designed for entertaining.

Glorious stretched swimming pool with landscaped “sundeck islands” right in the centre of rooms and villas, Aqua World is ideal for water lovers and sun worshippers.
