About the location
Phuket, nicknamed the Pearl of the Andaman, is Thailand's biggest island, connected to the west coast of the mainland by a series of bridges. It's big on scenery, with wooded hills, plenty of tropical greenery and a halo of white-sand beaches.
The longest of Phuket's beaches is Mai Khao, which unravels along the coast for 11 kilometres. A good portion of the beach sits within a national park, so it's beautifully undeveloped and edged with pine and palm trees. Bang Tao, the second-longest beach, is still relatively quiet, but offers up more in the way of restaurants, bars and chic beach clubs. Other standout beaches include Karon, a wide curve of powdery sand, and Kata, one of the prettiest spots in Phuket.
If you fancy a late night, make your way to Patong - its main street, Bangla Road, is lined with neon bars and nightclubs.
Transfer time from Phuket airport is 10 minutes.

Amazing service by the staff Wan, Sue, and Ann from reception. The staff could not do enough to assist us. This is our 4th stay here and the service, food and facilities are fabulous. Our room was cleaned daily. The staff are friendly and helpful. They assisted my husband whilst I was injured, being hit by a vehicle. They went above and beyond with the after care they provided.

Firstly, we shouldn't have come with expectations as it will definitely soothe the remaining stays to be bearable. Check-in was smooth and we were showed around the premise and to the room diligently; we tried to take an afternoon nap upon arrival but unfortunately for me the fan coil unit (air-conditioning) was parked right outside the room and could be hefty on the age as it makes noises that can hardly be defined as white. We requested for a change of room but was rushing out for a business, hence by midnight when we came back, we did not want to hurl up the housekeeping to show us another room and tried to make do with the room. The noises was so high in the decibel that even us turning off our own air-conditioning and us putting on ear plugs was unable to drown out our neighbour's compressor. This to me is just a badly designed hotel (even for an old building as the staffs say). We barely took any rest and was seriously haggard, because cmon' who would want this on a holiday? Oh, and of course the bathtub mixer was also faulty that it dispenses only hot water.
Obviously, we packed up our stuffs made our way to the reception and say that we are looking to change to a room without a compressor parked outside the room and of course a functioning bath tub. Which they took a very long time to arrange and showed us a room which is much quieter but with a bathtub outside the room and pretty useless on privacy. We couldnt accept these rooms because it doesn't solve any problems about us wanting a restful holiday. We then rushed off to our own engagement and was handling the situation over the phone on how the hotel can solve our concerns.
From here, We were most definitely annoyed because the rooms services was trying their best, and we were just exhausted from the communication. Their manager on duty MAI eventually offered us another room over the phone and we decided to give them another chance. She met with us to ensure that we were happy with the room. All in all, we appreciate the professional service because we weren't snuffed at as we were being very nice.
Breakfast offered was acceptable. For the rooms, unfortunately, they fell short in maintenance. Provides heaps of activities and is good for families, bring lots and lots of mosquito repellent. Definitely not a value-for-money resort, and won't be coming back again.
