Super hotel located just over an hour from Dubai airport but what makes this hotel special is the staff- every single person we encountered was just lovely- from those clearing tables at breakfast to the very friendly lady in the pool ladies changing area which was spotless all day. We had a small problem with our room being noisy due to some temporary construction work taking place but it was sorted out quickly on waking up on our first morning by a front office staff member Nedal. He could not have been more helpful and kind and we were delighted to end up with a very quiet room in the tower- husband (diamond Hilton member) travels all the time with work and we appreciated the peace and quiet. We ate at several hotel restaurants and all were excellent- the evening at the Marjan was excellent with fantastic food, excellent service with a smile with the waiter going the extra mile to show the children outside to the balcony to see the St valentines day fireworks. Chef Moudnir Al Khatib also greeted guests at the end of the evening which was pleasant and answered questions on what he had prepared with patience. Enjoyed several cocktails in Peacock Alley and appreciated the wonderful playing from the hugely talented pianist- the Waldorf is lucky to have a musician of such high calibre. Even when we checked out, the front office person kindly called ahead to the Conrad in Dubai to secure an early check in as we had an afternoon tour arranged- sorry to forget his name but he used to work at front desk at the Conrad Dubai till a few months ago. We don't tend to go back to the same hotel so soon but we are already looking at dates for next February. Thank you to all the Waldorf RAK team from the MacFarlane family.

It was the first time I visited Ras Al Khaimah and this mini weekend vacation will be unforgettable because not only did I relax in this peaceful environment but I enjoyed also a perfect party night for the opening of Siddhartha lounge beach bar restaurant. The Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah has perfectly balanced the traditional arabic architecture that takes you back in time with all the modern comforts such as super fast wifi, lots of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, a luxurious spa and the best thing? Our friends left their two kids play in the kids club which is as big as a nursery and there are very nice ladies taking care of the little ones while we enjoyed 3 hours in the sun-beds surrounded by palm trees under a clear blue sky. One thing we also liked is talking long walks to the resort which is very big and has a big space with grass for the golf court.

We love this hotel, our third stay - this time a four day stop on the way to holiday in Sri Lanka. Everything in this hotel is just special. We stayed in a gigantic junior suite on the 11th floor facing the sea. The grounds and pools are so nice and spacious, plenty of room for everyone. One of the best breakfast buffets we have ever experienced and top quality restaurants .... especially the Lexington Grill!
