How long have you been a Personal Travel Planner and what do you specialise in?

I’ve been a personal travel planner since 2018. I specialise in the United Arab Emirates. I’ve experienced Ras Al Khaimah first-hand. I was lucky enough to go on a trip put on by the tourist board, so it wasn’t only about seeing the hotels, but we got to explore the local areas and what they had to offer. One memorable part of the trip was an air balloon ride, which was amazing. I would highly recommend that to anyone wherever they go in the world.

"Talking about them! I love speaking to people about what they’re looking for in a holiday and finding the best destinations that can tick all the boxes. There are so many interesting people and chatting about where they’ve been and what they love is a big plus."

Hidden Gems

Croatia as a holiday destination is magical. From the crystal clear waters to the tranquillity of the islands, it’s truly a once in a lifetime. I’ve travelled around Croatia, and getting around to the different islands by boat is really great. I travelled into Dubrovnik and from there went all over, exploring further inland and the islands. I would highly recommend anyone thinking about going to Croatia to hop on a boat and get exploring.

Q & A

1. What was your most memorable holiday meal?

Scallop Thai green curry overlooking the sea at the Jumeirah Port Soller.

2. What is the best thing about being abroad?

Investigating new areas, I love taking the time to explore the non-tourist attractions and areas to find out about the destinations and what makes them special.

3. Where would you go next and why?

Island hopping around Greece. The pictures I’ve seen and stories I’ve heard, all the islands look fantastic. The crystal clear waters along the coast look sensational. I think travelling by boat is really good fun, so the Greek Islands are perfect, sailing from one island to the next.

Luxury Italy Holidays
This is such a difficult one to answer, but one of my absolute favourites is Italy. I have such fantastic memories from childhood. Italy is such a diverse country, you’ve got Rome with history on every corner, the rolling hills of the countryside with amazing villas, and then there are also beaches, so it’s got something for everyone.

La Residencia, a Belmond Hotel, Majorca
La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel in Majorca. It’s in a town called Deia, a picturesque quirky town with yellow-coloured houses. It’s quite traditional looking and has a unique feel about it. Strolling through the town and getting to know the local artists is such a fun way to explore the area.
La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel is a really high-end property but everything is kept simple and classy. It didn’t feel intimidating, I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel is set in a historic villa, giving it a magical feel.
