Halkidiki

For traditional Grecian charm, head to Halkidiki. Nestled on a peninsula reaching out into the Aegean Sea, Halkidiki can be found in the north of Greece. Less of a tourist trap than the Greek islands, you can enjoy peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Perfect for a romantic trip or a family holiday, Halkidiki has some of the best beaches in all of Greece. There are lots of things to do here including the views at Meteora. Translating as “suspended in the air” the monasteries here really are unique. Rising high above the countryside, the views here are second to none.

Take a trip up to the castle standing proud above the village. The views from here are simply incredible. Built in the 14th century, it has seen a tumultuous past and a rich history lingers.
