Luxury Puerto Calero Holidays

Located on the southeast coast of the spectacular island of Lanzarote, Puerto Calero is a luxurious marina and is well worth a visit. On the outskirts of Puerto del Carmen, José Calero thought about building a marina in Lanzarote and after four years of construction, the marina first became operational in 1989. It has grown in size over the years and now has 450 berths suitable for super yachts.

Nicknamed Millionaires Harbour, there is a large selection of bars and restaurants located along the waterfront with views of the super yachts as they sparkle in the sunshine. However, the marina is home to more than just yachts, stroll around the local market which is on every Tuesday and Friday morning around the marina.

Tipping

Restaurant bills include a service charge by law in Spain, so whether you choose to tip further is up to you. If you enjoyed the meal and service, it is customary to leave 5-10%. Hotel porters and maids will appreciate a small tip, and while taxi drivers don’t require a tip, it’s common to round up the fare.

Introduction to languages

The official language of Spain is Spanish. English is widely spoken too, so getting by is easy.
