Tivoli La Caleta

Beautiful hotel in a great setting. Rooms are clean and the decor is of a very high standard. The buffet breakfasts were very good. But... I noticed that someone had mentioned Francesca in previous reviews, they found her rude, I have to agree. I work on a reception and I know how to treat people, her manner wasn't friendly, more abrupt. Maybe certain staff need some customer service training. The buffet dinner was poor to say the least, we did complain at reception and were told that they had had complaints that the food wasn't of a good standard. Not once in any 5 star hotel have I struggled to find a sunbed. People were putting towels out at 8am in the morning to claim them! Not something I would have expected. This isn't a 5 star hotel, a good 4 at most.

I felt that I had to leave some feedback on this hotel as we had a fabulous week's stay here in March. From the moment we arrived, Cava as we checked in at reception, to the moment we left, it felt like a five star holiday. The rooms are spacious and modern, really nicely decorated with a large bed, the bathroom was huge with bath and large walk in shower. The chocolate at turn down every night was also a nice touch, along with a plentiful supply of tea bags and coffee pods, the maid even remembered my favourite tea and ensured it was replenished every day, a great personal touch. The breakfast was perfect, although could be very busy, but very well managed by the team, I would suggest getting your tea/coffee order in as soon as you are seated. The hotel offer a themed buffet every night and we chose a couple of these, the food was plentiful, amazing choice, and some of it is cooked whilst you wait. The pool areas are also really nice, plenty of sun loungers and staffed well to take that all important holiday drink order from your lounger. The hotel is ideally situated for the beach or a walk into the lovely village of Caleta. I would really recommend a stay at this hotel.

Just returned from a week at the Tivoli La Caleta and we were not disappointed. Under new ownership and the Tivoli brand there has been significant investment and the resort changes provide real upgrades to the overall holiday experience. The room upgrades are tasteful with refreshing colours including a bathroom makeover and upgrade. The investment in the pool facilities delivers a nice vibe with less foliage and ample sunbeds. Breakfast in Gusto is varied with a wide choice and the organisation is slick given the number of guests which was nearing full occupancy during our stay. The gym which has been relocated opposite and has a Padel tennis court. This is a great improvement on previous and in addition to free weights there are running machines, cross trainers and fixed bikes. Bottles of water and chilled cloths are provided. The staff make the hotel with our thanks especially to Edmundo, Alvaro & Paulo on the front desk. Pool service from Joe, Inma and Simona made sure we had a full glass. Guilty restaurant (pool) has a decent menu choice (great pizza) and we dined here on a number of occasions with thanks to Roberta for attentive service and Miguel. The resort credit available when you book direct with the hotel is helpful as the drinks and food can be pricey. The Sports bar is a good addition for those who want a footie or sport fix whilst on holiday and replaces a room which didn't have great purpose (in my opinion). Seen Beach Club is impressive and although we didn't dine here we heard positive reviews from other guests. The lunch menu in Seen was a little excessive for our requirements, hence Guilty was preferred. Thanks to Diego for great service in the Alma bar, the layout is much improved and it was relaxing to have a chilled glass in warm late afternoon sunshine in relaxed surroundings. We enjoyed the changes which are positive and improve the resort experience whilst retaining such a Warm Welcome from the attentive staff many of whom moved across as the ownership changed. The pool areas were vibrant with families enjoying the facilities and chilled beach music, although a couple of Christmas songs had sneaked there way into the play list which made for a giggle.......... We look forward to our next visit.
