The Caribbean at its stylish and sophisticated best, it has all the coral sand beaches and laid-back charms of the other islands, but cricket, opera, polo and the races have become society events. It's highly recommended for all ages, as there's plenty of action beyond the usual watersports, with hiking and golf to enjoy and gardens and historic plantation houses to explore.

Visit the bustling capital, Bridgetown, and statues of the island's national icons in National Heroes Square. Climb spectacular Mount Hillaby for fantastic views of the island.
Natural delights include the tropical beauty of Welchman Hall Gully and Andromeda Botanic Gardens. There is also the chance to visit the factory where Bajans make Mount Gay® Rum, the oldest rum in the world!
GETTING AROUND: Only 21 miles long and 14 miles wide, getting around is easy, either by hired car or by local bus.
SPECIAL EVENTS: The Crop Over Festival celebrates the end of the sugar cane harvest - five weeks July/August.
