Framed by the dramatic mountains of the Pitons, St Lucia is a dreamy Caribbean paradise.

Jane took a boat ride, arranged by her resort BodyHoliday, to witness the beautiful Piton peaks. Along the way, she stopped at the historic landmark of Marigot Bay, which is where both the 1967 adaptation of the Doctor Dolittle books, and scenes from Pirate of the Caribbean were filmed. Jane also visited the island’s famous sulphur springs and mud baths.

The original Love Island, St Lucia is a popular destination for weddings, honeymoons, and plain old romance, so Jane embraced the island’s amorous nature and actually had the opportunity to attend a vow renewal ceremony.

Jane and team headed to the popular Rodney Bay, home to a yacht-lined marina and a waterpark. North of there, they visited Cas En Bas Beach, a well-known spot for kitesurfing and horse riding. It’s here that they enjoyed a drink at the St Lucian institution, Marjorie's Restaurant and Beach Bar, with its funky community vibe and marvellous sea views. We highly recommend you feel the sand between your toes as you sip on a cool rum punch!

St Lucia’s eastern coast is home to a vast rainforest and has become an adventure eco-park, which Jane naturally had to explore during her stay.

“The Aerial Tram was absolutely thrilling,” says our Marketing Executive, Ellie, “The whole team were gliding among the treetops in an open-air gondola, keeping an eye out for parrots and other wildlife while admiring incredible views across the island.”

Where To Stay

The four star BodyHoliday, located on the northern tip of St Lucia, was the all-inclusive resort of choice for Jane. She stayed in one of the luxury oasis villas, the Villa Aurora, which includes a personal concierge service and private infinity pool and is situated right next to the resort’s award-winning wellness centre. Off-camera, Jane frequented the spa for its therapeutic treatments. There are many activities to enjoy at the resort, including archery (which Jane tried her hand at!), tennis, BodyYoga, watersports, and cycling, as well as a sailing club and scuba diving centre.

As well as your food and drinks throughout the day, you have access to daily massages, a range of land sports, fitness centre, water sports and daily shore diving – all of which are included in your package! Relax after a day of activities and enjoy beachside entertainment and shows of an evening.

St Lucia

This romantic destination is popular for proposals, weddings, and honeymoons. But Jane explores another side to this island, as she visits the healing Sulphur Springs, takes a boat ride past the Pitons and rides an Aerial Tram through the rainforest. St Lucia boasts luscious leafy landscapes - some of the most dramatic scenery in the Caribbean!
