The exclusive adults-only Nido, Mar-Bella Collection resort is happily situated on the peaceful southern part of the east coast of Corfu, with views across sparkling, crystalline waters to mainland Greece. The hotel itself is nestled amid lush, fragrant gardens, with fresh, elegant interiors that quietly speak of luxury and good taste.

Suites are light and airy, with floor to ceiling windows leading out to balconies looking out over the Ionian Sea. All rooms have a separate lounge area for relaxing, and the en-suite bathrooms are furnished with luxury toiletries and the fluffiest of robes. And as a welcome gift, you will find a complimentary fruit basket laid out for you to sample some of the delicious local produce.

When it comes to dining, you can choose from three wonderful options. For everyday dining, head to the main buffet-style restaurant, San Giovanni, where you can sample a wide array of authentic Mediterranean dishes. For a more casual lunchtime option, Aquavit serves all your favourite snacks and light meals down by the pool. And for a special occasion, only a table at fine dining Apaggio will do.

Nido, Mar-Bella Collection has everything you could desire in order to fully unwind. About the location

Nido, Mar-Bella Collection is nestled on the golden coastline of south east Corfu, in the town of Agios Ioannis. It overlooks the Ionian Sea and its golden sandy beach where you can spend days soaking up the sun and listening to the sound of the waves. Within easy reach is the town centre and its historic architecture which dates back to ancient Rome and the Venetians, as well as having Russian and French influences.

Foodies will love the delicious cuisine served in the traditional tavernas throughout the town, while explorers can take boat trips and see the beautiful coastline. Alternatively, take the 30-minute drive to nearby Corfu Town, stopping off in little fishing villages along the way.

I will start by the small flaws. The vanity/small mirror in the bedroom has not been cleaned for a rather long time, it was dusty and has a few grease marks on it which was rather unpleasant. Also...

I will start by the small flaws. The vanity/small mirror in the bedroom has not been cleaned for a rather long time, it was dusty and has a few grease marks on it which was rather unpleasant. Also, some staffs were more pleasant than others, I guessed it could be because being almost end of the season and everyone is tired. Aside from that, it is a really nice hotel. The location is perfect, sea view in the grand terrace with hot tub room is just to die for. They were very fast in responding as there were couple of nights when insects were (only 1 each night) in my room - not hygiene related, just because the hotel is on a small hill and I am particularly squeamish about insects. Called reception and within minutes staff arrived and resolved the issue. The location is rather remote but it has been compensated by some activities offered for free/included in your room rate. Some fitness classes can be booked through the app, the classes located in the Mar-Bella hotel which is very close by within walking distance. Also, sunset cruise and southern Corfu cruise are both very worth doing. Other activities like snorkelling and paddle boarding which unfortunately I did not have enough time to participate. They are generous with the drinking water supplies, given 1L for the day then 2x500ml bottles in the evening. The buffet breakfast and dinner are adequate. Tried the Appagio Restaurant, was slightly concerned, the restaurant is outdoor and weather is turning slightly cold after sunset and not too fond of food turning cold before arriving. But it did not disappoint, food was nice and hot and tasty. It is a pebble beach but can see lots of fishes through the crystal clear water, do not be put off by it. The infinity pool has a beautiful view and decent size. Unsure if there was meant to be a turn down service as a ‘proper’ turn down service only happened on the first night, other nights couple of bottles of water and chocolates were given. Feels really safe in the area and thoroughly enjoyed my stay, will definitely return if I am in Corfu again.
