About the location
Corfu Town is an effortlessly elegant town showcasing a mix of influences. Laid out by the Venetians and infused with Italian, Greek, French and British touches, expect to see cricket matches on the esplanade flanked by grand Gallic buildings. The city’s arcaded buildings were modelled on Paris' Rue de Rivoli, and an afternoon stroll reveals the oh-so-chic cafés and high-end restaurants. Step into the maze of narrow streets that makes up the UNESCO-approved old town, however, and things take a turn for the Venetian. Here you'll find shuttered, pastel mansions, Byzantine churches and a couple of fantastic museums. The city is set between two towering Venetian fortresses, with the calm waters of Corfu’s beaches an easy couple of kilometres away.
5 minutes from Corfu Airport

The corfu palace is a remarkable piece of history. It has a most exquisite view of the sea for all rooms. It was a quiet stay with a very helpful staff. The location is stellar as the hotel is better located than others,as the town hotels tend to be noisier. The rooms do need updating , but it kind of goes with the old charm of the hotel. The breakfast area
is so very beautiful and opens to a deck where one can eat outside. As you travel thru the deck , it goes out to a magnificent pool , very relaxing and quiet. A perfect stay.

This is not a cool boutique or mass-produced Hilton-type hotel. It is showing its age, but having said that, if you are content with a unique family run hotel with a little history, this may be the hotel for you. The breakfast room is lovely with the most amazing machine that squeezes fresh orange juice for you. The toiletries smell wonderful. The location is great. The bathroom is marble clad. We had a late flight and they let us have our room until 6 pm and served us a quick sandwich even tho their restaurant was not open. Did I mention literary history? Mary Stewart mentions this hotel several times in her wonderful novel of Corfu THIS ROUGH MAGIC.
