Luxury Marmari Holidays

Golden good looks

Marmari sits on a picturesque piece of Kos’ golden coastline, in the northwest of the island. Pretty, peaceful and oh-so-Greek, Marmari is a relaxed village with one of the best beaches in the area and a glimpse of Turkey on the horizon. Expect pale gold sand and bright blue waters backed by a sweep of green, unspoilt countryside.

Luxury holidays in Marmari

The main street runs parallel to the beach, with a handful of local shops, restaurants and a few Greek bars making up the social heart of the town. It’s a good place to get a feel for the traditional side of Kos, with a lovely laid-back atmosphere and one of the most postcard-worthy waterfronts on the island. If you fancy getting out and about, Marmari is the ideal jump-off point for exploring. For starters, the capital, Kos Town, is just 15 minutes away.

When to go

Visa Information

Tipping

In Greece, a service charge will be included in the bill at restaurants and bars. Much like the UK, an additional tip is not required, although is appreciated for particularly good service. It is common to round off the amount when paying cash, particularly with wait staff and taxi drivers.

Introduction to languages

The official language of Greece is Greek.  English is widely spoken, too, so getting by is easy.
