About the location
The most chic of Greek towns, Mykonos’ island capital is its stand-out destination. Gleaming white buildings, boutiques and galleries tumble down the hillside towards a pretty harbour, where dolphin-spotting cruise ships bob beside fishing boats. Quaint corners like Little Venice (so-called for the houses that hang over the water’s edge) are a treasure trove of art and eateries. Home to several must-see museums (the archaeological museum in particular) holidays in Mykonos Town are all about wandering its labyrinth of streets, popping into Greek tavernas and soaking up the sunshine on the seafront. We recommend picking up a few souvenirs while you’re at it – shoppers’ paradise Matayianni Street is bursting with independent little shops selling leather goods, jewellery and local wares. The surrounding area is steeped in Greek myth; if you’re interested in exploring, pay a visit to Delos, a UNESCO-listed island said to be the mythical birthplace of twin gods Apollo and Artemis.

Stayed at Bill and Coo as part of a two week trip through Italy and Greece. Stayed in some exceptional places in Rome, Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini and Bill and Coo was a full step ahead of every other place we visit. The service is over the top exceptional and they created a truly "best in class" experience that set themselves apart from the other 5 star hotels that were visited. Have stayed in others in Mykonos and for now, this is the best place to be. There are two properties, the "suites" and "coast", suites was more our style as it was more social, people out and about a bit more. We visited "coast" for dinner and tour of the property, beautiful property as well, much quieter by design and while we preferred the main complex "Suites", if you want a super quiet scene Coast seemed like a great place as well.

Bill & Coo knocks it out of the park in virtually every way. It's so picturesque and photogenic that its hard to leave for an hour or a meal or a trip to the beach. The location is just close enough to town without being bothered by any noise. The food is inspired and delightful. The rooms are simple yet sophisticated, and other than a few minor technology or privacy hiccups, have ample space and spectacular views. The staff are engaging and friendly and did I mention the magnificent negative edge pool with starlights?
But as perfect as everything might be, there are a few areas that require some attention - but I'm really being super-picky here:
The private check-in handled poolside is a wonderful concept, but it takes ages longer than a regular front-desk check-in. (Remember, guests want to be left alone to enjoy themselves, not be bothered with details and questions and suggestions. We had to interrupt our over-ebullient concierge who rattled off her bar/club/restaurant rolodex with so much aplomb and passion, that it started to threaten the tranquility itself.
Speaking of passion, we might want to turn down the mandatory greetings just a little. No matter how quickly we plotted a hasty retreat, we would inevitably be barraged with an armada of "Good mornings!" from every direction.
I would also strongly suggest a different wardrobe for the pool and wait staff. Unfortunately not everyone was able to pull off the sheer beige pants and athletic fitting tops equally well, and for the attention to design in all other areas, this could be given a little more focus too.
The transportation options are excellent, but they can run up an elaborate bill if you aren't careful. Most trips to or from beaches cost between E30 - E50 a pop! Perhaps there's a good compromise on short trips or carpools with other guests...
But I couldn't have picked a better spot for a 5 day getaway with lots of indulgence and pandering.
