Grand Anse Beach
Coyaba is a long-established, low-rise, traditionally styled hotel, with the perfect location, right on beautiful Grand Anse Beach. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, and the hotel is spread over more than five acres of pristine grounds. The hotel is owned by Grenadian family – and many of the very friendly staff have worked there for many years.
There are just 80 rooms, arranged in two-storey building that look out over the lovely gardens, and the beach beyond.
There are many complimentary activities at Coyaba; kayaks, snorkelling, scuba-diving from its onsite PADI Dive Centre, and windsurfing are all available, as well as day and night tennis, table tennis, yoga classes, shuffleboard, specially organised morning stretches as well as walks in nature and massage therapies. You can also join a weekly cricket game. In the evening, dancing is a must at one of the music or retro nights which are hosted 3 times per week.
There's a weekly schedule of evening live entertainment at the hotel.
The world famous Grand Anse Beach is just moments from your room. This beach is popular with locals and visitors, and is lined with almond trees, providing shade when needed. The sand is white and powdery, the water bright turquoise, and there are not shortage of activities to enjoy such as water skiing, parasailing, kayaking and snorkelling.
There is plenty of space around the pool to find a lounger and relax with a drink from the pool bar, and parasols for when some shade is needed.
There are two restaurants at Coyaba;
Breakfast and lunch are relaxed and casual, but guests are asked to cover swimming costumes and men to wear a shirt. Evening dress code is elegantly casual. Men are required to wear trousers, collared shirts and closed shoes.
Grenada is blessed with some of the worlds most stunning beaches, but none more so that Grand Anse. There is a mile and a half of white powdery sand, and the sea tends to be calm and shelves gently. It’s a popular beach, but even so it is big enough to always find an uncrowded spot. There are a host of bars and restaurants to retreat to when the sun becomes too much or you can cool off with a variety of watersports that are readily available.
Coyoba has large beachfront gardens right in the middle of this stretch of paradise. And there are lots of local bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Housed in pavilion-style buildings with Caribbean style decor, air-conditioned rooms are scattered throughout the lush grounds. Rooms are available with either garden or ocean views, and all rooms have a private balcony or terrace and facilities include cable TV, safe, telephone, mini-fridge and hair dryer.
Ocean views will sleep up to 4 people, and garden / pool view up to 2 people.
