Atlantis Bay

Perfect in every way. A beautiful hotel in an amazing location with fabulous staff and excellent food and beverage options. Loved the pool bar and pool cafe for lunch and Nui restaurant was exquisite for dinner and also served an excellent breakfast offering. The resort was very clean and tidy and the staff very efficient and helpful. Fabulous views from the bedrooms across the bay and you also had these views from the pool and sun decks. It’s not a cheap option it is rather pay the price to get the service and hotel we had could not fault it. Our only disappointment was with British Airways who cancelled our flight home with very little notice giving no reason why which meant we had to return home a day earlier than we should have. Would highly recommend and would definitely return

There is no denying it has one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen in a while but the hotel desperately needs a revamp. I say this not only in regard to the room but in service too. We were staying in a suite which was great as it had two separate spaces. The view was amazing, as was the hotel’s overall style. However in our room the couch was rock hard and the TV had aerial issues yet the bedroom one was fine. Also I’m not sure if the suite was meant to have a bath because it had taps for one but it was just the base of a shower with raised ledge so it wasn’t usable. The service however was the biggest disappointment. I’d never been to a hotel where staff were so rarely seen or unwilling to help. Orders were forgotten, no water provided at the pool or bay, reception were indifferent to requests, hotel restaurant staff were much the same if not borderline rude. In short: View from rooms is breathtaking Service in most areas is poor Rooms internally are good but not great Balconies are a great size on all rooms it seems Food is okay, pizza is good though. Cocktails were not nice (room service ends at 11pm, no late night menu) Accessibility to Taormina is an easy 5 minute walk to cable car I just genuinely feel this hotel needs some better management. For the price you’re paying it’s kind of surprising to see it be run like this. I wouldn’t return or necessarily recommend it anyone but I understand why people do like it due to its beauty and location.

Will start with the positives, it’s a beautiful setting right by the sea directly on the water, lovely. Breakfast was also really good and the staff at breakfast were great. We booked this for our first year wedding anniversary and we were really looking forward to it. However, on 2 days/evenings of 6 nights there were weddings on. The hotel is quite small and every room faces the sea, you are almost in the wedding. The weddings go on till 12am - 1am, and they are soo loud and honestly the staff are uninterested not apologetic, just say “we will speak to the wedding coordinator”. When you are paying over EURO 1,000 per night this is not what you expect. I am also pregnant and we wanted to have a relaxing trip, but the first night having a loud wedding on till 12.30am and then again two nights later was really upsetting. The staff don’t even inform you of them, you just find out when they start. Cleaning staff weren’t great, some days no housekeeping till 2pm and we had to call reception to tell them, no clean towels other days and no bath robes on the last evening - it almost felt like they wanted us to leave. I did not feel welcome and warm like we usually do on holidays. They tried to amend damage of two weddings and everything else, by giving us a meal which was in Taormina town, we had to arrange a taxi ourselves and honestly this was not a great restaurant so we were upset again that we had ruined another evening for the hotel. I just want people to be wary when booking this hotel because if you are used to 5 star holiday experiences then you will be disappointed because this is not it. The staff honestly don’t care about guests, there is no customer relationships, they are uninterested and many don’t even great you when leaving or entering the hotel. Not worth the money.
