Constance Moofushi

We have recently returned from an amazing 8 night dream holiday at the truly relaxing Constance Moofushi. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and are so pleased we chose to stay here on our first trip to the Maldives - and to experience a seaplane – wow! We stayed for 4 nights in a Beach Villa (No 20) which was a great location to access the Totem Bar and the quiet, beautiful beach where we sunbathed, swam, snorkelled, kayaked and paddle boarded. Thank you to Onesh for looking after us in our villa. (I also have to say that the bed was sooo comfortable!). We then moved to Senior Water Villa (No 76) for 4 nights where we were ‘blown away’ with the amazing views of the open reef and beautiful sunrises, we were also able to watch an amazing variety of sea life directly from our villa steps. Thank you to Loob for looking after us and also for his truly amazing artwork on our bed decoration. Thank you to all the staff who obviously worked so hard to make our stay such an amazing experience including the staff behind the scenes. We would especially like to mention the catering staff serving at the Manta Restaurant – for such a small island it is amazing the variety of food they offer. We enjoyed trying a variety of cuisine – especially on the Sri Lankan evening. It was fascinating to chat to the catering servers and learn about their lives. I wish I made a note of some of their names as they became our regular, friendly and welcoming, faces at breakfast and dinner. For us, we enjoyed delicious lunches at the Totem Bar where we could sit next to the small lagoon appreciating all that Moofushi has to offer, delicious food and drinks, blue skies, turquoise water with reef sharks and trigger fish swimming in the shallows. Truly amazing. We would highly recommend joining Elena’s (Moofushi’s resident marine biologist) snorkelling tour if you are first time visitors. It is perfect for experienced and beginner snorkellers to familiarise yourselves with Moofushi’s reef to find the best places to spot marine life and coral, including information about the currents and safety. Note - there are no lifeguards on the island. Oh – I also have to mention that you must treat yourself with a spa treatment – truly indulgent. Thank you Manjoola and all the team. We do hope to return to your beautiful island again one day.

Just back from an amazing two weeks at the Constance Moofushi incredible island we were pampered from the time we landed in Male to the time we checked in for our return flight home , when i usually write a review i split it into the positives and the negatives but for the first time of writing i just could not find any negatives so here are the positives, from the airport we were wisked away to the Sea Plane check in and two the Constance lounge where we checked in for our stay plenty of food and drink if you wanted it and if you had time you could grab a shower or just rest up from your flight , after a great 35 minute sea plane transfer to Constance Moofushi you were taken to reception to pick up your room key fobs and were taken to your villa by one of the very attentive staff we picked a Sand Villa and was not disappointed our room ( No 35 ) was fabulous a bottle of fizz was waiting for us along with a full mini bar restocked daily the Sunset from our room was incredible there was two restaurants one buffet and one al a cart we could not fault either the food in both was amazing and the wine well you could pretty much choose anything ( my personel choice was an Italian Chianti called Danzante ) it went down very smoothly my wife preferred a Pinot Gris from New Zealand called Black Cottage which was also very nice , while we are on the subject of food we spent some of our lunch time's at the Totem bar they put on an amazing lunch the Steak was the best and nicely washed down with a pint of Lion Beer . The beaches well there is know need to get up early to put towels on your sun beds there is so many and loads of choices where to sit either on the beech or around the pool area we sat on the beach in the morning and at our villa in the afternoon where it was easy to just walk into the sea to call off, my wife and i are in our late 60's so we just wanted to chill out and thats exactly what we did for 14 nights,The staff were always asking us if we were ok , they couldn't do enough for us even in the main bar they got to no our drink preference right from the start of our holiday , there is so much more i could say about Constance Moofushi but we would be here all night lol its not a cheap island but it is the best island this was our 5th trip to the Maldives and the best, we are already trying to work out when we will come back. Our quest for paradise is over! Having recently enjoyed the most fabulous holiday ever, we proudly declare the Constance Moofushi to be our happiest of ‘happy places’ and the biggest of ticks on our bucket list! Arriving by seaplane was magical but when we swapped shoes for flip flops, the Moofushi ethos of ‘barefoot chic’ began to cast its spell. Believe me, this glistening gem of an island is nothing short of totally captivating. Moofushi oozes charm and had us spellbound for the whole week! With pristine white coral beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters and swaying palms, the Constance Moofushi resort is the ultimate paradise. It is lovingly maintained and perfectly peaceful. We stayed in a Senior Water Villa at the far end of the jetty. It offered privacy and almost exclusive use of the sea at sunset! The endless view of sparkling ocean, the smell of lemongrass soap and the sound of water lapping around the stilts was sheer bliss. The villa was beautifully appointed and efficiently serviced by our room attendant whose personal touches were greatly appreciated. The choice of delicious food and wine is outstanding, and we relished the romance of dining on the beach every evening. We especially loved the Totem Bar for its house cocktails, lighter lunch options and laid-back beach vibe. The superb house-reef is teeming with a myriad of fish and the snorkeling is off the scale! We recommend the main beach for its gentle breeze and comfortable sun loungers providing the perfect opportunity for an afternoon snooze. The highlights of our holiday are too many to mention but the stand-out moment was the Sunset Boat trip when the Spinner Dolphins performed a spectacular routine! It’s no surprise this amazing resort consistently receives 5-star reviews! It’s all credit to a hard-working team dedicated to the provision of an outstanding customer service experience. The incredible staff truly is the heartbeat of this island. Attentive but not intrusive, they deliver an exceptional service with the friendliest of smiles. We’d like to thank our host Dhanna, for his warm welcome and kindness throughout our stay. We were very touched by Manjoola, the delightful EAM who was most keen to ensure our holiday was perfect in every way. It's obvious, that along with thousands of others, we’re passionate about the place! We felt truly valued as guests and it was an absolute privilege to enjoy the Constance Moofushi experience. It was a wrench to leave, but the generous all-inclusive option made our departure a far-less painful return to reality! Until now, our one abiding travel rule has been ‘never go back’. Well, that rule has been well and truly broken! We have made an exception for the Constance Moofushi because it is, quite simply, sublime! Andy & Julia
