Ambre Mauritius

We???ve just returned from a wonderful stay at the Ambre Hotel & Spa, and from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel truly welcome. The hotel???s setting is simply beautiful ??? with its pristine beach, turquoise lagoon, and peaceful gardens, it offers the perfect backdrop for a relaxing holiday. A special mention must go to who we believe is one of the duty managers (we believe his name was Rheal possibly), who went above and beyond to assist us when our TUI representative was unfortunately unresponsive. He personally ensured that we were moved to the room with the beautiful view we had originally booked, which made such a difference to our holiday. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care perfectly reflected the hotel???s commitment to excellent service. We would also like to thank Bijay, who kept our room spotless throughout our stay. Each day we returned to a beautifully clean, fresh smelling and tidy room ??? a small detail that made a big impact. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, and dedicated to ensuring we had a memorable experience. From the porters and reception team to the restaurant staff, pool staff, and bartenders at the Coral Bar and TI Bar, we were always greeted with warm smiles. It was lovely to see younger team members being trained, though at times it seemed the managers could be a little firm when things didn???t go perfectly or service was slow. That said, it???s possible that our perception was affected by language or cultural differences ??? and everyone has to start somewhere! Breakfast was excellent, and overall, the food was good with plenty of variety. We did find the quality a little inconsistent at times ??? for example, the beef tenderloin in the Italian restaurant was superb on one visit, but not quite as good the next. Some maintenance work was being done on the thatched roofs of our building during our stay, but it didn???t affect our experience at all. In fact coming from a construction background ourselves it was interesting to watch. Oh and then there is Chris, not employed by the Hotel but who walks the beach selling the Five Island Tour with Papa's Dream Boat Tour. Do look out for him and book, it's a great experience and he is so helpful. Overall, Ambre Hotel & Spa is a beautiful, well-managed resort that combines an idyllic location with a team of wonderful people who clearly take pride in their work. Thank you to everyone at Ambre for making our Mauritius holiday so special!

We went here to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and wow we were treated very well by all the staff and had a brilliant time. They booked us a special meal for the eve of our anniversary at the La Plague resturant on the beach then arranged for us to have breakfast in our room the next morning. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Went on the 5 island trip which we booked with Chris on the beach and it was a brilliant day out the guys on the boat really made it extra special with music and a bar b que on the boat. Our room was kept spotless clean by Samba who did a very good job. Also all the restaurant staff were very good special mention to Anisha and Lovena in the resturant as they took extra care with everything. The guys and girl who bring the drinks to you on the beach are very attentive too especially for my husband who loved his dolphin drink with a shot of rum in. We were made to feel very special and taken really good care of. Ambre hotel management please take good care of your staff as we believe they are you best asset yes the hotel and grounds are beautiful but the staff really make it all work so well. Xx
