About the location
Tivoli Marina Vilamoura is located close to Vilamoura’s upmarket marina. Here you can watch luxury yachts and take boat trips, as well as enjoying the beautiful architecture of the surrounding buildings. The marina is lined with five star hotels and cosmopolitan restaurants and bars, as well as a few boutique shops. History lovers will enjoy wandering around the town’s Roman ruins, complete with carefully preserved murals.
If you want to get outside, the Algarve is well known for its fantastic selection of professional standard golf courses. It’s also home to some beautiful golden sandy beaches offering water sports and crystal clear waters, as well as horse riding, hiking, mountain biking and tennis.

Terrible stay at the tivoli. On arrival we checked into a room and there was no water available for 2 hours. We were not told about this- only when calling reception to query why there is no water...
Terrible stay at the tivoli. On arrival we checked into a room and there was no water available for 2 hours. We were not told about this- only when calling reception to query why there is no water coming out of the taps in the bathroom. After flying during a pandemic the first thing you would want to do is wash your hand and take a shower!
Secondly the room was extremely dusty. The sheets had probably not been changed since the last stay.. I understand which may have been months ago. When speaking to the manager he was not very apologetic. They transferred us to another room in which the next morning I found a giant cockroach in the bathroom!!!!!! No gestures to really apologise or make up for all the inconvenience caused at all.
The breakfast is awful. They cannot get the orders right and the food is cold.
The spa/ swimming pool staff are the coldest and unfriendly!
Honestly there are so many other things I could say but this two night stay was awful. This is not a 5 star hotel- more like a 2/3 star!
Very disappointing!!!!! Do not book here- many other hotels in the area which are far better.

Me and colleagues arrived at the hotel at 12 and went to the reception to make our checking.
The first thing we noticed was that the receptionist welcomed us in a very strange/cold manner.

The first thing we noticed was that the receptionist welcomed us in a very strange/cold manner.
Second thing was that we specifically asked to check in at 12, the receptionist told us that they were no rooms that are cleaned and that we should wait for the check in time that in 3pm. We???ve traveled 5h to wait at he the reception to get our rooms, knowing that the hotel was empty!
He told us that he seen our message (12 check in time), but didn???t send a house keeper to clean the rooms before our arrival. He seen our message and didn???t do nothing, not ONE PHONE CALL telling us that the rooms would be available later.
We started arguing with him, telling him that we were tired and couldn???t wait 3h to get our rooms. Thats when he started getting rude and telling us that he can???t do nothing about it and that ALL THE ROOMS are full are aren???t clean.
His job is to greet the customers and make them feel like home and we definitely didn???t get that feeling.

Excellent hotel where we stayed for a week to escape the weather and the coronavirus restrictions. And we are thankful that everything in Portugal went so well.
The hotel is very spacious, so social distancing has never been an issue. The hygienic measures are very well taken and the staff is well organized and aware of its duties. We felt safe all the time, also during the inside dining at Pepper???s Steakhouse.
We had planned to have dinner outside, but decided to stay in the hotel because of the excellent food and service. Very pleasant staff. And they served my favourite Tiger Prawns from Mozambique! Lunch at the Purobeach Beachfront has been a treat every day! Surprising dishes, excellent quality and hospitable service.
We selected the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura based on some variables: as told, we wanted to escape the grey weather in The Netherlands and have been looking for a short vacation with summer days in November. We were limited in our destinations because of the international travel restrictions to fight the covid pandemic.
We searched various mediterranean countries (with code yellow = traveling allowed), and this hotel and the Algarve stood out: duration of air travel and local transfer time, high number of sunny days and low ones for rain, heated (indoor) pool facility, beach access, fitness room, massage and hotel dining.
We stayed most of the time in or around the hotel in order to minimize our contacts. So we have been very dependent on the hotel's facilities. Based on these experiences we are very happy that this hotel has exceeded all our expectations.

Just back from this great hotel,completed 14 day quarantine in England.
Hotel and staff were fantastic could not ask for more,every detail re covid 19 ,top standard,to even having to ask for keyboard...

Hotel and staff were fantastic could not ask for more,every detail re covid 19 ,top standard,to even having to ask for keyboard for communal computer which was wiped with sterilised cloth before given to me.
Hotel was so safety conscious and indeed I felt totally safe and chilled there as indeed in the Marina also.
Got out of England just before lock down so had great 12 days in a truly fantastic hotel and in a totally safe environment in the algarve.

When staying in chain hotels, the brand???s name makes you expect a certain level of service, but it is then up to the staff to deliver the expected, can???t fully express how impressed I was with...
When staying in chain hotels, the brand???s name makes you expect a certain level of service, but it is then up to the staff to deliver the expected, can???t fully express how impressed I was with customer service as well as with this location (great Marina view),and heated indoor pool. (Up to 8 people)

Amazing breakfast served to the table on the main restaurant by the warm employees, Impeccable cleanliness, a certification of clean & safe fully respected
