Seven bars and restaurants plus the trademark Dine Around option mean lots of foodie memories. Enjoy the taste of authentic local produce, feasts of fresh seafood, or exquisite dishes that look almost too good to eat! But don’t despair if you prefer your dining a little lower key – The Reserve at Savoy Palace has plenty of choices for relaxed dining too, including a kaleidoscopic buffet and a casual bar. 

Orchidaceae Atelier

Orchidaceae Atelier is the right choice if you want a top-of-the-range buffet breakfast. Freshly made cakes and pastries are complemented by unique flavours and numerous healthy options. Between the cooking station, healthy, vegan and gluten-free choices, and Anglo-Saxon notes of the English or American breakfast, we promise there is something for everyone. 

Alameda

Enjoy this relaxed, family-friendly environment set on the pool’s edge. This lunchtime venue serves superb light meals inspired by the colours of the Mediterranean.

Pau de Lume

Enjoy a little bit of authentic and irreverent food at Pau de Lume. The relaxed, trendy and family-friendly atmosphere lends itself perfectly to all-day brunch, light lunches and evening meals cooked by fire.

Start your day with a gourmet and healthy breakfast from Hibiscus. Artisanal breads, pastries and sweets are served with a wide range of hot and cold drinks. With a show cooking station, children’s choices, plus balanced, detox options there’s much to enjoy in the interior or exterior seating - we know where we’ll be having our lattes! 

Jacarandá Club & Lounge

Fill up at the Jacaranda Club and Lounge. Enjoy breakfast and lunch in this lounge restaurant and bar that comes complete with an infinity pool, sundeck and jet pool. Start your day with a balanced breakfast or enjoy some of the delicious lunch options before relaxing the day away next to the infinity pool on one of the sun loungers (reserved exclusively for suite guests). 

VIMES Entertainment Bar

Welcome to the most stylish pub in Madeira! VIMES Entertainment Bar is the perfect venue if you love craft beer, music, entertainment and meeting people. VIMES also offers a varied menu of gastropub food, presented in small, tapas-style servings.

About the location

If there is one travel destination worth knowing about, it’s Madeira. The four-island archipelago is found between Morocco and Portugal and has been named the best island destination in the world every year since 2015 by the World Travel Awards. And it’s no surprise why - stunning beaches, natural lava pools, dramatic cliffs, fertile mountains topped with technicolour, golden sands, aquamarine seas, emerald forests and violet bougainvillaea are just the beginning. 
 
Funchal is the archipelago’s low-key capital. There is really no better way to get to know the town than through its eponymous wine. Pull up a chair in one of the bars and cafes that line the narrow, cobblestone streets, order a bottle of the island’s famous drink and imbibe in  
whitewash buildings, iron-wrought balconies, and tiled patterns that carry echoes of Madeira. 
 
Because of the island’s unique topography, tourism has been slow to come to Madeira and Funchal (although their star export, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, has helped to put the islands on the map). Thus, visitors here will not be greeted with alleys of neon lights, but rather authentic life as it has always been lived, more or less. The city is ideal for those who like slow-paced places that burst with history, exquisitely preserved architecture and blossoming parks and gardens. If you’re looking for our insider tip, we recommend taking a trip to the fabulous botanical gardens north of the city, where you’ll be greeted with 80,000 sq. metres of exotic flora, huge cacti, strange, endemic trees and flowers bursting in showers of colour.
