As as family of 4 adults we finished off our 2 weeks travelling the garden route with 2 nights at Long Lee. A bit apprehensive as we were advised was going to close in a few months for refurbishment, but we were certainly not disappointed.
Each of our double rooms were Immaculate, fabulous rooms of huge proportions opening onto a lawned area in from of the game reserve.
Spotlessly clean and all amenities including separate lounge area, 2 separate toilets, huge walk in shower, free standing bath and twin hand basins.
Food was served in the Manor House and was of a very high standard with great service. Breakfast again was of good choice and portions with the usual additional cold buffet.
The staff were all very friendly and efficient and couldn???t do enough for you. Apparently it has a new owner who wants to upgrade for the existing excellent 5 star to an even higher standard 7star ! We hope it won???t be spoiled.
Just a quick mention about the rangers on the game drive... they too were absolutely fantastic. Abdul, our ranger was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and passionate explains the behaviour of the animals as a well.
Overall very memorable... one of the best stays around the world for us !

Long Lea Manor & Shamwari Game reserve is like a little peace of heaven. Quiet & tranquil you relax from the moment you arrive. Our accommodation (a suite) was beautiful, the staff attentive and polite, food is delicious and the game drives are awesome. Our ranger Janko was fantastic, informative and passionate about the animals and plants around him. We stayed three night and went on six game drives, each one seeing something different. We absolutely loved it.
