H10 Playa Meloneras Horizon Collection

We returned Early October and we can honestly say the Hotel is Gorgeous- Spotless and rooms are lovely with everything you could ask for. I have been to many H10 hotels in the past and as it had been a while I decided to check this Hotel out on the Facebook Forum Friends of H10 Meloneras Collection, everything was positive with good reviews which helped in the booking. More on this later. The hotel is great, the staff are brilliant and could not do enough for you, we checked in at midnight due to a delayed flight and reception were so good, we even managed a late snack in the buffet Restaurant which was great. Our first day started positive plenty of sun beds even managed to get booked into one of the specialty restaurants for our first night which was fantastic. The only let down was cold food in the buffet at breakfast, then at Lunch . Day 2 started similar, and we really felt let down by the food quality it was repetitive, were not fussy eaters but for a 5 * hotel it wasn't good, this went on all week and it got to the stage we went out for Lunch and Dinner even though we were all inclusive. I never thought I would say this about a H10 Hotel as they are normally very very good, but I would not return to this one just due to the cold repetitive food, sorry H10. Overall the hotel is great just the food was a let down. Now as for the Facebook Forum Friends of H10 Meloneras Collection. I joined and got lost of positive feedback about this hotel,(only join here if your willing to post positive reviews about the Hotel), Diana who runs the forum has been going here for years and I added a comment to the facebook page to say I was disappointed in the food but the hotel was great and got promptly booted out, so your only allowed to post positive remarks,

Staff is friendly but sometimes had to wait. Check in and check out was good but not fast. Swimming pools and kids club were excellent! The circus show was very nice. However, the suite seemed to be not in the best condition specially the room. We informed reception and they were will to move us to another renovated suite. However, before we decided to move or not, we checked the other suite we did not feel much different and decided to stay. Breakfast and dinner buffets were very good. If the room was good, the rating would be 4

After returning to this hotel after 5 years we found issues with staffing levels and service. This was most notable in the buffet restaurant. Breakfast was worse when you had to request cups and teaspoons as these were often not on the table. Some guest were served coffe at the table whilst others had to use the self serve machines. At dinner you had to order all your drinks when you sat down as it wasn???t possible to order drinks later. Getting served at the sunset bar was also difficult on occasions as waiters were busy moving tables and chairs instead of taking orders.
