Colon Guanahani

My wife and I spent a week at the Hotel Colon Guanahani just chilling and relaxing. This hotel is perfect if you just want to quietly lay by the pool or read a book on your balcony. There is no music around the pool and it has a calming chilled atmosphere. Do not stay here if you want loud music or pool games. The clientele are mature not young. We had a small problem with our room when we checked in but this was addressed immediately and we had a most amazing stay. There are plenty of loungers around the pool, which was clean and warm. If you don???t want to stay in the sun there are plenty of shady spots. Location wise the hotel is about a 10 minutes walk to the beach where you will find an array of shops and restaurants. There is a well stocked reasonably size supermarket within a 5 minutes walk. The staff at the hotel are fantastic and so friendly. This hotel was just what we wanted to wind down and chill. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday.

We booked this Adults Only property because of location and positive reviews. The hotel is spotless everywhere you look and staff are very friendly and helpful.It's so quiet and peaceful ( just what we wanted) During our week stay there was a fashion show which was the only day time activity. Cant say what night time entertainment was as we were out till 10 most evenings. You book this hotel to totally chill. The Heated pools are amazing beats the cold pools that are usually found in hotels. All food we ate was of high quality and great choice, we were on B&B. You can pay for food and drink as you go or set up a tap to the room where your room key will be scanned. They are strict on reserving your stuff will be removed. Smoking/vaping around pools and public areas is not tolerated you will be asked to put it out but you can smoke on your balcony. There were always sunbeds available. Room was spacious eell maintained and cleaned daily to high standard. Bathroom has bath & Shower. We arrived late and assigned room had an issue which was immediately resolved by assigning us a different room. The road that runs in front and to side hotel is very busy. 2 tips I would give the hotel would be to have a bar area up at the Rooftop pool as you have to go down to the ground floor to get drinks and food. Also there is a designated time for changing out your pool and lounger towels which is between 5.30 and 6.30. It would suit better to have this from 4pm to 6pm as people tend to head up to rooms around 4pm to get ready for their evening. We would 100% come back to this hotel. Oh and if you have a late flight make sure to book your slot in the courtesy room a few days before departure to secure your desired time.
