Paradores offer the opportunity to stay in unique historic buildings throughout Spain. They could be a former palace, an ancient convent or a medieval castle, but all have contemporary conveniences alongside the antiques and artwork. They allow you to experience all the charm of a historic building, while enjoying the comforts you'd expect from a modern hotel. Food is really important too (a sentiment we definitely agree with), so expect some great dining experiences.
We have put together two itineraries which take in two of Spain’s most interesting areas. Andalucia showcases cultural Spain. Our eight-day tour means you can discover the riches of the area while staying in some of the country’s most historic buildings, so you can truly get under the skin of this part of Spain. Highlights of our Andalucia Paradores Tour include the Alcazar and the cathedral in Seville, the Great Mosque of Cordoba and, of course, the Alhambra in Granada.
Our second tour focuses on the rugged north. Over seven fascinating days you will discover the riches of the region, combined with memorable stays in some of Spain’s most historic converted buildings. Visit futuristic Bilbao and regal San Sebastian, plus World Heritage Sites such as the Portugalate Bridge and the monasteries of Suso and Yuso in San Milan de la Cogolia.
Our tours are self-driven, so you can take in the sights at your own pace. We will arrange the car and book the Paradores for each night of your stay, and suggest your itinerary so you can make the most of each day.
