Grand Anse Beach
As seen in Channel 5’s TV series, ‘Holidaying with Jane McDonald’, Jane stays in the luxurious Silversands hotel, where every detail has been designed and considered. It will dazzle you with its crisp minimal lines, floor to ceiling windows which face the sparkling waters of Grand Anse beach. The most striking feature is the 100-metre-long swimming pool that is said to be the longest swimming pool in the Caribbean and is edged with swaying palm trees and white linen enshrouded cabanas.
All rooms are extremely spacious, but for families who need that extra space, there are suites and villas that can accommodate up to 8 people comfortably.
The Spa at Silversands is an elaborate space, with an unhurried and tranquil atmosphere. Along with treatment rooms, you can explore the sauna, ice cave and Hamman and for times when you are feeling more energetic – there is a well-equipped fitness centre.
Asiatique is the main dining room and is another spectacular space where the sheer height of the room is accentuated by vertical dark-wooden slatting. Whichever location you choose to eat or drink, you will notice the Grenadian culture and local ingredients coming through.
Grenada claims to have 45 beaches - but none compare to Grand Anse Beach. The sand is white and powdery, the water bright turquoise, and there are not shortage of activities to enjoy such as water skiing, parasailing, kayaking and snorkelling.
The main pool is a sleek, modern designed 100 m (330 ft) infinity pool — the longest in the Caribbean. The pool leads to Grand Anse Beach, one of the top beaches in the world, with its two miles soft white sand, clear waters and calm breezes.
There is a second swimming pool available at the Spa, exclusive to spa guests.
For times when you really don't want to leave the comfort of your room or villa, then there is an extensive room service menu available - including a special menu for kids.
The spa has a large selection of Espa treatments, including Thai massage, body wraps, and facials. There are four treatment rooms - including one for couples, as well as a sauna, ice cave, hamman and experiential shower.
The resort also features a hair and nail bar and modern fitness centre.
