Spice Island Beach Resort

So Spice Island, you certainly haven’t disappointed….. It has been beautiful to wake up each morning and drink in the view from our Seagrape suite out to sea, with St George’s, the capital looking right. The location of Spice Island, on Grand Anse beach is fabulous (and apologies to Silversands resort for saying it) at the infinitely the better end of the beach. We, like many, have used the beach as our gym/exercise, covering the c. 2 mile stretch before breakfast, and again, as the sun is setting. Perhaps oddly, a real delight is the public nature of the beach, so our walks were all the more interesting watching the locals having fun and the wonderful Grenadian ladies engaging in a morning sand scrub (so much cheaper than Elemis or Clarins 🤣) followed by an ocean dip and natter. Many contributors before me have committed on the exceptionally high service levels, always coupled with a warm smile - they are quite correct, but there is also nothing stuffy or too ‘posh’ about Spice Island although the resort is clearly proud, as it should be, of its hospitality heritage. Our experience also suggests this is not the place to come if you need wall to wall activity and long into the night partying. The food is delicious, if a little over ambitious on occasions, and you really do need to get off your sun-lounger at some point in the day to work up an appetite for the 5 course evening meal (not including the amuse bouche and petit fours). The wine is decent, your glass is never empty and the cocktail menu extensive and drinks well made. I’m afraid a Walkers crisp is going to seem very dull in comparison to the hot plantain or breadfruit evening nibble crisps here (actually make that 8 courses in the evening 🤔). I have wanted to come to Grenada for many years and will leave wanting to return to see more. It is a safe and beautiful island with genuine and generous hospitality. Local ingredients feature widely in all the cooking and if it’s not in season (avocado for example, it’s off the menu and not imported). I have a new appreciation for ‘proper’ chocolate, still finding a different fruit I’ve never heard of to try at breakfast and have enough bottles of rum (within our duty free allowance of course) to add an additional shelf next to the gin at home. Thanks to the entire team at Spice, many of whom we never got to meet, we have had a lovely time and appreciate your hard work. Finally, #Spicefit is an innovative initiative which we thoroughly enjoyed….but I guess you will have to book and go for yourself to find out more…..

We spent 5 nights around Easter break in a sea front suite.I don’t know what to say…just “Thank you “ for everything!..Service is impeccable,territory is well kept, menu in restaurant is different every day and meals are delicious.You should definitely try nutmeg ice cream while you’re there.! There are 2 tennis courts on the resort.You need to book them in advance.I’ve been served in hair salon,got excellent blow dry.. We took a tour around island through resort and our guide was nice person to spend entire day with. Cost is high,but worth every penny we spent there.We will return next year.Thank you all!..

Nestled beautifully on the Grande Ange beach in Grenada a private paradise awaits you, This resort truly understands the meaning of hospitality and luxury. The hotel staff makes you feel like you are part of a family. And the rooms are so comfortable and beautifully designed that enhance the comfort of your stay. We had the pleasure of staying 6 days and got to experience so many beautiful dishes, breakfast selections, and experiences inside and outside of the resort. The food was so delicious and every dish was beautifully 1 thing I believe that really sets Spice Island Beach apart from the other resorts on the island which I have experienced is their culinary selection and the placement of the resort on one of the critically acclaimed beaches on the island. Aside from leisure and lounging around the resort. We asked the hotel if they could arrange for us an Island tour which was about 3-4 hours long in a very nice spacious air-conditioned van. We learned about the history and culture of Grenada, the spices, the farmers and so much more. I highly recommend
