About the location
Overlooking the iconic River Ganges in Varanasi, the Brij Rama Palace is the ideal place to immerse yourself in India’s most spiritual city. The Ganges River plays an important role in Hindu ceremonies, with celebrations of life, deaths and cleansing rituals performed daily. Take a boat trip and see the Hindu priests as they perform these rituals, or visit some of the city’s beautiful temples.

The busy streets of the city are alive with colour and activity, with merchants haggling with visitors as they make their way to the ghats of the river. These steps are where Hindus make their way to the river for a celebration.
