Hotel Miramar has over 100 years of history in Majorca’s Puerto Pollensa. Established in 1912, it is the oldest hotel in the area and is still run by the same family. Hospitality is in the Sastre family DNA; the family (not to mention the hotel) has won numerous awards in recognition for their contribution to both local and national tourism. Unsurprisingly, Hotel Miramar prides itself on its excellent service, and we must say we wholeheartedly agree! Many guests return time and time again, so don’t be surprised if you are greeted like a long lost friend as soon as you step through the door!
The hotel is a cornerstone of Baleric hospitality. Rooms are stylish and many boast stirring seas views. The spa, although small, has an outdoor pool, whirlpool and relaxation area and offers a fantastic range of treatments. Hotel Miramar is perfectly placed for beach lovers. It’s a (very) short stroll to the golden sandy beaches and crystalline waters of the Mediterranean, and the hotel has lots of sunbeds for guests. For those who prefer to not swim in the sea, both the plunge pool and the outdoor pool offer a refreshing alternative.

It is said that all visitors fall in love with Puerto Pollensa at first sight. Pine trees reach down to almost touch the water, the glorious Mediterranean twinkles with watery promise and a laid back, boho beach vibe permeates throughout the resort.
Puerto Pollensa enjoys a privileged setting on the north (and most protected) side of Majorca. The resort was once a thriving fishing village and today it has evolved into a stylish holiday destination, much loved by families and couples alike. But, while the destination has much to offer in terms of sea, sand and sun, there is in fact much more to Puerto Pollensa that meets the eye.
The resort became famous in the late 1920s, when it was the de rigeur destination for the upper classes. Agatha Christie further immortalised the little village by setting her book Problem at Pollensa Bay here. Wealthy families from Madrid and Palma built beautiful holiday homes in the area and famous faces, including Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier, chose the region for their honeymoon and holidays.
All visitors to Puerto Pollensa should take the twisty drive up from the sea (not for the fainthearted) in order to be rewarded with some of the best sea to sky views on the island. Discovering the hinterland is a great idea; not only will you escape the high summer heat but the authentic villages that pepper the mountainside will welcome you with open arms.
