Iberostar Bouganville

When we arrived from the airport late evening there was an issue with our room due to a booking error by TUI. The reception team were all so kind and helpful and kindly gave us drinks and entertained our tired children with chocolates and beachball whilst things were being sorted out. The customer service throughout the hotel was impeccable. Every member of staff that we encountered were so polite and helpful. This included grounds staff, bar staff, chefs, waiters, housekeeping, kids team…the list goes on, they were all wonderful! There was always a hello/ good morning and a smile. We found the hotel cleanliness to be of a very high standard. The bedrooms and public spaces were always spotless. Beautiful clean pools and well kept garden areas. Clean tables and dinnerware in the restaurants and bars. Toilets regularly being cleaned. The drinking water stations around the hotel were so useful too. This was our first “All inclusive” holiday. We were so impressed by the quality and variety of food at every meal time. I was also so happy to be able to enjoy a pot of decent English breakfast tea at breakfast time too! We enjoyed eating at the snack bar at lunchtimes with the beautiful sea view and delicious pizzas. A special mention must go to the wonderful crepe man who worked his artistic magic on making a seahorse and a turtle for our children one night! He deserves a medal! Also all the chefs and waiters worked so hard but always polite and smiling and asking if anything we needed. The splash park and water slides were a definite highlight for us and our children spent most of their days there. Also the kids club workers were brilliant, always energetic and fun. The evening pool party was great fun! We had the most wonderful, family holiday at this hotel and would definitely return.

Not worthy of 4 stars, no tea/coffee facilities in room, only one pillow, needs a refurbishment, lifts very slow. We were over the pool with side sea view, I got no sleep, first night as a disco was going, apparently a nightclub, spoke with reception who said, they were full, but day after would ring to see if any rooms available at the other side, like for like, heard nothing, so put up with it for 5 nights. I like having. Good time, but not till 3 in the morning. We stayed here 3 years ago after COVID but not good. We generally stay at Iberostar Sabilla, which is far better, but not as near to the centre. Definitely not worthy of a 4 star. One good thing, Breakfast was good.

Last visited 38 years ago for our honeymoon so was looking forward to visiting again and wasn't disappointed. The hotel is positioned few minutes walk to the beach and on the border of Americas and Costa Adeje. Even though its in centre it felt quiet, although we were nearer the sea side. Very clean and staff very attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they always went out of their way to help you. Special mention for Fran in the Prestige restaurant area, he was brilliant. Always a warm welcome, very efficient and knew our drinks order without being asked. We stayed half board with the Prestige package. Well worth it in our opinion as you had the choice of three separate adult only sun terraces, soft and alcoholic drinks, jacuzzis and extra comfortable and always available sunbeds, no matter what time of day. The views were fabulous. Also a lounge area with snacks and branded drinks available and an area set aside in the main restaurant. Hotel was very busy with Easter hols so beds by the the main pools were being reserved by 9am. Availability clearly became an issue, so the hotel arranged for additional sunbeds that were positioned on the lawned area. Food (buffet) was excellent, plenty of choice, very well presented and better than many 5 star hotels we have stayed in. You are requested to nominate early or later sittings, but we were never refused if you changed your arrival if you had other plans. A very well run hotel, brilliant position and suitable for families or adults. Don't think you'd be disappointed.
