Conrad Koh Samui

Being from the US, it's unsurprising that we've vacationed on every island in the Caribbean. So when we started to plan our honeymoon, we wanted to do something different and much more memorable. What we got from our stay at the Conrad Koh Samui was much more than just memorable, but completely unforgettable. To start, our incredible concierge Jack reached out to us about a week prior to our arrival to introduce himself, exchange WhatsApp numbers, and helped me arrange a dinner reservation at Jahn, a bottle of champagne in our room upon arrival, and a floating breakfast for our first morning. He was very thorough in making sure he knew our personal details to customize our experience. The hotel property is bit of a distance from the airport. They do, however, have a car service that you can arrange to pick you up from and return you to the airport. Upon check-in, Jack met us personally to introduce himself and escort us to our villa. Along the way, he pointed out the features of the property, the location of different restaurants, the spa, the main pool, and the beach. What's more, he showed us around the villa and made sure we were well informed of the amenities. What's more, he surprised us with a fresh spread of fruits, hors d'oeuvres, and two customize teddy bears with our names on them. Our villa was spectacularly appointed, meticulously maintained, and extremely well tended during our stay. Being a Conrad, there's an extensive pillow menu to customize your sleep experience, but it level of personalization doesn't stop there. The villa was cleaned daily around midday and again turned down while we dined at night. What's more, after the first full day, the housekeeping staff picked up on our coffee and tea habits and made sure to overstock the minibar with extra supplies, as well as began providing us with extra water as we both tend to drink a lot. The food options are aplenty. On our first and last night, we dined at Jahn. The food is just as incredible as the service. You would have thought we were the guests of honor as the entire staff made us feel as if we were the most important diners of the evening. On our second visit to Jahn, we ordered the Chicken Chasseur which was finished table side. It made for a delightful meal and memorable experience. Most other nights we started off with cocktails at the Ko Lounge while watching the breathtaking sunsets before heading over to Zest for the incredible Thai cuisine. The service was always remarkable and we never once felt unnoticed. Breakfast was always at Zest and offered countless options on the buffet as well as delightful made-to-order egg options. The staff quickly learned our tastes and were quick to offer us our preferred beverages and fresh fruits. What's more, after learning my husband loves pomelo, they went out of their way to make sure he some with every breakfast, as well as the chef personally came by to offer us both a pomelo dish that he made special for us. This level of service was genuinely unimaginable and truly incredible. We also frequented the coffee shop, Botanikka and never had an unpleasant or routine experience. Every visit was amazing and the barista Boom always greeted us with a gigantic smile before making us the most delicious coffees and teas. Often for lunch we would go to Azure by the main pool and beach. The pizzas are insanely delicious with unique flavors and ingredients. And they never let our cocktails go empty. Walking onto the beach, you're immediately greeted with towels and an ice bucket with waters. They offer kayaks, paddle boards, and jet skis on the ready. Jack told us about the long tail boat that you can charter to go to pig island as well as snorkeling and we jumped at that. The boat met us at the beach just after breakfast and provided us with towels, waters, and some details about pig island. The Captain and Best made the trip incredible and were extremely attentive and personable. Jack made every request we had seem effortless and went out of his way to make our whole experience incredible. And every member of the staff went above and beyond making our honeymoon the most memorable and enjoyable experience imaginable. The weeks we spent at the Conrad Koh Samui were the best of our entire trip, and we are excited to plan our return in the future!

Let’s just say, you can’t get better service anywhere else. What made this experience great was the staff. I had a personal assistant (Jack) that helped us throughout our whole stay. When I needed a room key after I locked myself out, I was able to contact our assistant to get someone to open the room quickly. I needed help with booking my transfer out and Jack helped me throughout the night when he did not have to. The communications within the property is an A+. And lets not forget about our driver (Sprite). We received a pick up all the way from the other side of the island. I made an adjustment of time for an earlier pick up and he made it happen. We learned more about the island and Thailand through his experience and wisdom. He was our driver for our whole stay and even took us to our next destination voluntarily. We definitely felt the love within the staff. The highlight of this trip was the Romantic Beach Dinner with significant other. I booked this and successfully proposed to my one and only best friend. Every staff at the property told us that we came at the “right time” due to the constant rain the past few days. The night of the dinner it was clear like it was meant to be. This place is very special. We are definitely coming back!
