About the location
The Palm is a manmade island that crowns the city’s sun-kissed poster child, Jumeirah. Everything on the island feels pristine and perfectly shaped, from its hyper-luxurious hotels to its gleaming beaches. The nightlife and dining scene is one to glam up for, with exquisite rooftop cocktail bars and gourmet international restaurants, and you’ll find designer boutiques and spas spilling out from the hotels. The Palm is connected to the mainland via a monorail, so it’s easy to reach the famous sights of the city, from its ultra-modern shopping centres to its sand-dusted souks. If you’re travelling with kids, they’re in for a treat. Some of the best waterparks in the world are on your doorstep, with fun stuff like camel rides and seaplane excursions also jostling for attention.
