Lots of our family-friendly hotels offer kids' clubs, but to make it into our teen-friendly selection, we're looking for things like separate lounges, games rooms and top-notch sports facilities.
The adult-free zones at these hotels might offer bars where teens can socialise over a few drinks (non-alcoholic, of course), flatscreens hooked up to the latest games consoles, or after-dark activities like bonfires and barbecues on the beach. Sports-wise, there's usually plenty to pick from.
